Yeah I mean, I know it's simpler and get why (though the point about the 3rd year being very heavy in workload is a good one I hadn't considered) I just get a little annoyed by basically all the characters being under 18 sometimes.

Well, that's why mangakas decided to add adults in their works too. Alas, loli x adult genre was born.
I think a lot of mangakas find it hard to wrap their heads around writing actual adult stories.

I don't think it's because this age is convenient. You can easily write adults without having to mention their previous romantic relationships etc.
I just think it's either because the majority of the audience reading these mangas are teens themselves, so they can empathize with the mc and the easier struggles they go through in that age.
But sometimes school girls/boys can be a fetish too.

This is a Heisenbergian Manga Series:

Risako has no reason to hide her present relationship with Reiichi (which is why she casually informed Uta that she was present at Kaoru’s accident when returning the phone, knowing full well that Uta would inevitably tell Kaoru) AND she simultaneously does have a reason to hide her relationship with Reiichi (which is why she lied to Kaoru about never having seen Reiichi since the wedding).

As we have seen in this forum, which one is the case for any given reading depends on the position of the observer.

Side note: What do you mean by "Heisenbergian"? If you're referring to the physics principle, then you've used it wrong. Because in Heisenberg's principle, when you know one you can't know the other.

Well, right—since human beings are not theoretical concepts in physics, believing both things to be true about Risako simultaneously would be “cognitive dissonance.”

There’s a lot of that going around.

No, I mean if you wanted to make a reference that both things can be happening at the same time, you could use Schrödinger because it says what you described above.
I think it can actually apply in humans too. Like being happy and sad at the same time is possible for someone to feel.

Have we ever gotten a confission in this?
I know there's at least one canon couple, but was there any on-screen confission? I don't remember.

Are they a couple thought ? I know who you referring to but iirc they're sex friends/ex not actually in couple.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/lily_marble_ch24#10

"If they find out I'm dating a woman" reads to me like they're dating. That, plus Aya looking so positively toward their future makes it seem like she's made her choice.

That was a flashback from their college days. They used to date back then. Then Aya broke up with Risa and married a man. Then that man dumped Aya (we don't know the full story of that, but it is implied he broke up with her because she was emotionally distant).
Now they're just meeting and sometimes have sex, but they don't date. In chapter 17 we can see where they currently stand, and Aya is still not sure whether to date Risa or not.
A big reason for that is her sick dad whom she visits at the hospital, and he asks her if she found the right man yet. He also says "I can't die until I see the face of my first grandchild?

maybe the actual gay characters can realize they fell in love for the same dense girl and try to work something out between them, Uta x Risako now lol.

What's frustrating for me is that I was actually happy for the plot of Risako being gay, and it would be the first thing I would feel nice in this story, even when Risako's liking would surely be unrequired as well. (not saying the story is bad, just saying the story is interesting to read but gives a bad feeling when you do).

But now the author is taking that away too, by making Risako's character look really cold and manipulative. Waiting how this will pan out though.

This author must be pretty cynical irl.

I'm still a little confused about whether this character is supposed to be borderline or not, and if she is, why it isn't a bigger deal in her relationship.

Hmmm that's very interesting. I was also thinking whether Maekawa has some type of pd herself. Author could be inspired by someone who has that irl, but since it seems like Maekawa is changing her attitude on her own and quick (she is able to handle the situations better and without a therapist), i don't think the author actually intends for her to be borderline.

Btw, I saw this kind of thing happening before irl, is not commun because you need to have a galaxy brain to do something like this.

I don't think it's the galaxy brain. More like you need to be an asshole.

It just seems you want the story to be about something it's not. It's clearly about silly worries and misunderstandings. Also, just because Ooguma would be ok with a girl, it's not reasonable to think Kanda revealing to be one after all of this would be no big deal. I'm not a fan of drawn out misunderstandings myself, but it's only been 4 chapters that, frankly, aren't that long. "Undeniably stupid" is still very debatable at this point, no matter how angry you are about it.

I agree. Also people were already complaining about it since chapter two and even one, so even though I think that eventually it has to get revealed, this is still soon.

And maybe we're forgetting the fact that Kanda herself might not be comfortable being out and in a relationship with a girl, so pretending to be a guy is easier. There's a hint of internalized homophobia I think, despite the comedic parts as well.
She digs the hole deeper as more time passes by, so the whole point of the story could be about lying to your partner and its consequences. We don't know the purpose of this story yet, so it can actually serve something the author wants to show.

Yumeno is a pos.

Eh, she's in the middle of a deadline crunch, she's dealing with a block, she's frustrated, and she already didn't like Maekawa much. I think we're proably meeting her at her worst, and her worst really isn't that bad.

I would excuse her if this was the deadline, but in her inner dialogue she kept saying how she was the best of them all, and how she was annoyed that Maekawa won instead of her.
She's envious and jealous, but the author will redeem her too. There's not a single bad person in this manga.

Dunno, for the same reason you think Yuzu is probably. I never liked Harumin that much. She has barely done anything throught out Citrus unlike Matsuri so i never find the appeal of the character. The fact that she never know about the Yuzu/Mei relation till the latest chapter is a big factor to me. I don't found her very useful because of that.

Lol I don't think it's the same reason, because I think Yuzu going after Mei for so long when Mei has hardly been good on her is stupid. I didn't say I don't like Yuzu though.
Harumin has been kind and fun to be around. There were also hints she knew about Yuzu and Mei's relationship. Anyway to each their own.

I just don't think it's that comedic honestly. I would enjoy more seeing the emotional impact it's having on Kanda, having to pretend to be a guy. That's the shit that'd be interesting to me, in a story about gender. Maybe I have difficulty finding "actually someone's not the gender everyone assumes they are" funny due to my personal experience there.

Yea it's not just comedy. I'm also interested on the fact that Kanda feels more comfortable pretending to be a guy in order to date a girl freely.

Harumin is a goddess xD The bff that's impossible to not fall in love with.

It is for Yuzu . Because she is stupid.

So is Harumin

How is Harumin stupid?

I want the misunderstanding to go on for a long time, because it is funny like someone mentioned above. It's a comedic element.
Also this is the core of the story. Take that out and what's there left in this story?
This also seems to be a cross dressing related story, so I wonder how long people will keep complaining about it.

YESSS thanks for making a thread here!! I love this story.
I also think we can upload the first chapter here, since it's for free on tapytoons. This way, more people will be able to get to know the story.

But you're right, it's incredible and I'm only still SLIGHTLY buttmad that the scanlations were stopped literally like 5 chapters from completion just as the story was reaching its climax and I've had to wait like 9 months to finally see the conclusion....

Wait, is the story over? I think it is on hiatus

Looking for realism in a yuri story. Well, let's start from the most basic then. Gigantic boobs. Not only they are extremely unrealistic, but they also make the girls look like cows ready to get milked.

Also I'm surprised so many people are bothered by this trope and let other shitty stories slip away.

Agh, the prince theme in a yuri story is boring. I don't think Izumi is evil, but she also doesn't have any other quality to be shippable with Nanaki.

Iwashita's reactions are really funny lol.

I'm usually not much into tomboys, but I think Tsubasa looked better before the make over. Also the clothes she gave her to wear look like they're for an older age. Like mid thirties. Don't know if the author did that on purpose, since Tsubasa wore Iwashita's clothes, who's in her thirties.

Want more Aya and Risa tbh, hopefully they appear in next chapter :)

Yeah me too. We've had some chapters with them but it was flashbacks. Currently we're still on the story of what's going to happen with Aya's dad.
I check author's twitter and she releases some pictures from the upcoming chapters three months before. Next story with them was a flashback again I think they're next too iirc.

(I must say that a problem I’ve personally had with the story all along is that I think the at-start Kurokawa and her style is completely adorable, and although her makeovers render her more conventionally “attractive,” the changes seem like a net cuteness loss to me. )

Facts.

I agree too. She needs to go back to it again after her character development. When we're done with Izumi.

Sooo, am I the only one, that wants Izumi to win this love triangle?

No. There was one more person in the previous page too.

Izumi cannot even be considered a love interest, since Nanaki isn't interested in her. And yeah, some stories could actually be more interesting if the "third wheel" actually won, but it really depends on the individual situation.
In here, the pairing Nanaki x Kurokawa is better. At least most people seem to think so.

A good example of that would be wdtfs imo. That was a legit love triangle, and the underdog was way more interesting than the main love interest.

I actually kind of wish more stories would start off with characters having Izumi's set of circumstances. Having loved and lost(presumably in this case) and then we get to see them find someone else.
Ahem. Oh how I wish some stories would do that.
cough

but who would ever cover such a story? : O

Unpopular opinion: Bloom Into You is overrated.

Anyway, a good (great imo) story that starts off the way you described (but unfortunately is only two chapters) would be "Love prep room" (chapter 1) and "Fever Retreat" (chapter 2) by Nanzaki Iku. After all these years this one is still stuck to me.

This art is awesome and the characters really attractive. I think the author should make a full story about it.
Or at least go all the way with them here.
