Not the way it was presented, it isn't. You need to have a proper talk beforehand, set hard limits and agree on a safeword. Then you can do this safely.

We changed the names to follow the official spellings that was introduced by the author.

To be honest, I felt like the original spellings were chosen because, as you said, it's the way you would romanize their names, as the original scanlators did not have access to these resources. Once we have the official spelling, I had a discussion with the original translator, and we both agree that it's best to use official spelling going forward.

Yeah I think there are two possibilities, people who side with Shiho just to be contrarian and others who really like her character design so they're willing to forgive or even forget anything, because if all she did was just play music and have an unrequited love then no problem, but she made sure to make her problem, a problem for eeeveryone.

I mean, i can also just... like Shiho as an entertaining character in this story who imo makes it better/more entertaining by being in it? While also acknowledging that, if she was a real person, I'd probably never be in contact with her at all bc fuck that noise.

If after all that happened in prequel and dating for a year Yae is still worrying Chitose will randomly break up with her over some boy she is well aware, Chitose is not attracted to, then their relationship is really weak. She is going to be in an all boys school after all! And the chapter ended with them declaring that they prefer girl's body and flattering each other.

Don't get me wrong, the whole premise of the chapter and argument at the end was funny. What was bothering me was it felt like it was at the expense of all the development they made previously. In any other manga those cliches wouldn't bother me, but Hanjuku Joshi already dealt with them, and in pretty unique way on top of that, so seeing it doing just what every other yuri manga there is doing felt like a big downgrade to me. Sure they got it over in 1 chapter, but imo it should never happen in the first place as they already get over it in prequel. I kinda feel it is for new readers to quickly establish their characters and thoughts in first chapter without having to read prequel (which is not uncommon practice, but depending on way it is done, I'm not fan of), but in this case for people who read prequel it felt really out of place.

First of all I would say it was in character for Yae to be worried. Also Chitose never pronounced that she "was able to fall so deeply in love because Yae is a woman". Another thing is that Chitose had never much contract to boys, she was her whole life in girls schools and was never in contract with boys as she stated in the Prequel.

Honestly, the Chief x Hato thing is really disconcerting to me. I dunno why but it feels wrong. Like, yes, I want Chisa and Chief to be the ones together but even so the Chief x Hato coupling is seemingly one sided and off balance. Hato hasn’t shown explicit interest in Chief. When I see characters try so hard to avoid a relationship I start cheering for them to actually succeed... which makes me always bitter when it fails. Guess my aro-ness at work, making me project my insecurities on them.
I don't get why the authors write tsunderes resisting so much. It's not dramatic, it feels like they are forced by the author to fall in love and makes me feel awful for both sides.

Gonna be honest the lolicon side plot was the weakest to the point where you can remove it and you'll miss nothing of importance. Felt very shoo in ( if that makes sense) but this is Itou Hachi manga so I guess they had to add it in some how since it wouldn't be hachi without it, lol. But overall very wholesome series and with a nice ending. Thank you to everyone that worked on this all these years!

Indulge me for a moment as I try to unpack my feelings on this series. It's hard to believe now that it started out with two officeladies trying to figure out their ambiguous relationship and having lovely wholesome dirty sex, what a refreshing change for pace for yuri eromanga.. and then at a certain point it just shifted, started to sink more and more into f'd up situations instead of f'ing hot sex.

Sometimes it seems like it's going to course correct, like: hey, a chapter (23) about twins who are secretly dating the same woman and also sexing eachother up, okay so it's twincest and cheating but nobody's a child, nobody's banging their parents, nobody's getting sexually assaulted, and the sex is hot-- yay!

Of course no course correction was intended, that was just coincidence.. here we have chapter 28, featuring under aged girls pressured into having sex on camera to make blackmail material and bonding over their mutual love of having sex with their moms.

It's kind of like we're slowly discovering this is set in an alternate reality where humans descended from bonobo apes, so all social interactions are worked out by sexual congress, regardless of context, age, or relation. Also everyone's a woman, but that part I'm 100% on board with.

Well anyway, I registered just so I could traumadump about this manga series, but at least it's on-topic. :D I don't mean to sound like I'm shaming anyone for liking this or that, drawings on a page aren't going to ruin the world, and Kurogane Ken should be creating whatever they're passionate about creating regardless of what anyone says.. just had this on my chest for a long time.
