Neither. (Presumably, anyway, given FTL travel is reeeeeeally iffy according to real-world physics.) It's the difference in subjective passage of time - in contextually relevant terms, for each year that passes in a spacecraft traveling at Ludicrous Speed several go by outside it. And the closer you get to the speed of light the closer the difference approaches infinity...

Classic narrative takes on the topic I'm personally familiar with include Poul Anderson's Tau Zero (a damaged Bussard ramjet can no longer decelerate and "rides the lightning" all the way to the next Big Bang) and Joe Haldeman's The Forever War (interstellar warfare with relativistic space travel produces all kinds of strangeness); Soukou no STRAIN was a relatively recent anime exploring some of the same themes (also probably the most way-out-there adaptation of F. H. Burnett's classic A Little Princess).

...actually come think of it, anime and manga are no strangers to the idea in general. Just off the top of my head Hoshi no Koe and the positively ancient GunBuster also took it for a spin to greater or lesser degree.

That's also one of the wait-what parts of the setting I mentioned, as time dilation being actually relevant implies interstellar travel slow and inconvenient enough to render the whole premise of shipping bulk raw materials over such distances quite ridiculous. Just mine your local system of reference instead - plenty of stuff in the asteroids and whatnots, jeez.

I always love these COD chapters. Not only are they hilarious, but they're also a novel way of making Yuki work out her feelings (whereas in a usual story characters would just be mulling over their worries all on their own and sometime take several chapters at that)

Because Yukina cares Hell of a lot more about Towako than the club, and the latter both realised the colossal contrafinal idiocy of and genuinely regretted her whole weird yandere period. Towako's whole arc was basically a classic study in "be careful what you wish for - you might actually get it" and the lesson wasn't lost on her.

The entire business does raise some eyebrows in-universe too - not in the least from the student council prez who got partially caught in the crossfire through no fault of her own - but clearly gets treated as their private business. "You're willing to forgive all that creepy shit she pulled? Huh, whatever makes you happy I guess."

Schools have limited resources to support clubs so ones that don't meet minimum standards of membership and activity duly get axed to make room, simple as that. This is a pretty recurring topic in school-setting stories you know, case in point being Arata Iri's latest where it more or less kicks off the whole narrative.

People generally notice corpses floating in rivers so unless supervillainy shit got involved already that far back (which seems rather unlikely) or the local authorities were staggeringly incompetent it should be assumed Pesha knows well enough.

Would be quite natural for her to not want to dwell on the details of such traumatic childhood memories unless absolutely necessary tho.
