I did, but I never gave the over-ear design any real thought. It's certainly an interesting meaning to inject, though.

It's odd she would be too afraid to pierce her ears, considering she could heal her eyesight long before getting her Akuma powers. I'd imagine she could numb, or even reverse, the piercing at will.

The fear of needles is rooted almost entirely in the instinctive fear of the skin being breached, not any anticipation of pain(even large-bore needles don't actually hurt that much). No numbing ability is going to get over that hurdle.

I think Spider-chan's already bitten Butterfly-chan. Now all she can do is woozily watch Spider-chan wrap her in silk while she goes gentle into that good night.

Given that most everybody refers to the gems as "she", I can understand someone expecting that tag.

But getting philosophical, if we run with the idea that the gems are mankind's "bones", then they would have sexual differentiation of some sort, given the difference between mens' and womens' skeletal structure. Kongou-sensei provides a nice demonstration of this(intentionally or not).

If that's the case, usually I'd expect a bottle of mommy's breast milk(preemptively pumped so Eli can do the feeding). But we're probably putting far more thought into this than the artist ever did.

I guess they are unnecessary if the main story is about Sumika and Ushio, but I never found any of the detours to be boring. The side plots were like concentric circles building up side characters, and when much of yuri is devoted to mostly being about the two main characters, the extended cast is welcome.

They're all so freaking awesome and I love all of them.

I wasn't necessarily saying they weren't well written or that I didn't like the side side cast, but they mainly served to weigh down the primary plot(just look at the number of times Sumika and Ushio almost get together, only for something to cut them off). It's a case of an author trying to do too much at once in the same work.

I think it's just parodying a points campaign. I'm guessing there was a prize that needed a lot of points to get.

If you count both the author's works together, then at least you know they both have feelings for each other so it's not like it's an unrequited love, right?

Nothing in this implies Eli returns Umi's feelings, which means she may have forced herself to move on. Seeing love only when it's too late is a tragedy for the ages.

I always see this sort of story as "pre-relationship". It's the stuff that pairings - or in this case triplings - are made of.

This and the other seem a lot like Nozomi and Eli are already together, but Nico's still working her way in(which is probably the most realistic way for this sort of thing to form in the first place).

Although, I only wonder why does Fine looked like a teenager when she came back to the Gymnasium if she did lived a long life.

Being a teenager's a bit extreme, but people becoming youthful after entering the afterlife isn't uncommon.

One point though: Monica says her wreath withers all the time... that's a frightening concept given their situation, eh?

Since Finé woke up out of a minicoma after her wreath wilted, I'd say it means that Monica wasn't fully dead yet; each wilting was her being at the brink of coming back.

Rin also needs to hurry up and come clean. Kou isn't going to notice anything more subtle than an atomic bomb.

It's interesting they they don't have the background firmly established, but I'm not too surprised at the generalities they laid down. In the end, they either need to break up or divorce their husbands; with the latter not being complete assholes, somehow I think that's going to be a rather painful choice, even ignoring the need to explain things to the kids. Delaying things and keeping to the shadows can only make it a thousand times worse when they're forced to make the same decision(if they don't have it made for them).

That would have been a different story entirely - unless you meant after she captured the daughter, but all signs point to Megumi only being interested in younger girls.

I'll have to join you on that. Madoka taking a bite and feeding Homura was one thing, but them outright fellating it is something else altogether. I wouldn't mind too much if the characters were established to have some firm interest in males, but that is completely not the case here.

I can't find other works from this artist to compare, but some of those panels look like they're straight from a het eromanga, even disregarding the fellatio. I can't help but wonder if their usual repertoire is anything but.

Unless they legalize incestuous marriage, it's a moot point. For most countries that'd be a guaranteed "nope"(even if they don't criminalize incest), but Japan's in dire enough straits it's just this side of possible they'd get that desperate.
