Ahem, Always Human is back, by the by. If I understood it correctly, this is the last part as well.

Also... the lesbian relationship ends badly and the movie ends with the queen going to Italy (alone) to build a GREAT library .

Meh, I'll skip it then. Don't like bad ends, or when they don't get together.

I watched The Handmaiden though, and it's pretty great. Also managed to be funny at times. The torture scene was funny as well.

I read a summary about what happens in the novel and he put a nice twist to it that I really like. Also a happy ending so. I really liked the music in the movie as well. One song reminds me of another song that I can't remember the name of, but yeah.

Overall, a really, really awesome movie.

Edit: One thing that I really didn't understand why Hideko did what she did was, why did she let Tamako believe that she fucked him? I mean, when you haven't gotten to Hideko's POV, sure, it makes sense, but when you know what happened fully, there's no real reason for that. Sure, they could've showed Hideko telling her she didn't sleep with him, but they didn't, so yeah.

Cause she would kill her teammates quickly.

Well, everyone except Root, of course ;) .

True, if it went like in the simulations, Root would be all alone and she alone wouldn't be able to take down Samaritan.

All in all I guess it would be kind of a Winter Soldier!Shaw if the series wasn't cut I guess.

Well, that one episode which was all about simulation Shaw had to endure... I imagined this was kinda the cliff-notes-version of what the writers had originally had wanted to do. Shaw gets out, blacks out occasionally and during those "black-outs" she's essentially a Samaritan-agent. Also, there would've been a secret effort by Samaritan to convert Shaw to their cause.

If that was so, I imagine it would've been a short series either way xD Cause she would kill her teammates quickly.

My personal idea for an episode would be: Maybe she has a black-out-episode - and wakes up being congratulated by Team Machine that she has saved the day for a particularly difficult mission. But actually she had been controlled by Samaritan during that time. And the entire episode is about her figuring out what she had done while she was controlled by Samaritan and maybe realizing that Samaritan had ulterior motives.

And continuing from that, what if Shaw is starting to influence Samaritan in the same way Root influenced the Machine? What if at some point Shaw is manipulating Samaritan instead of the other way around? Instead of destroying Samaritan, the objective becomes rescuing Samaritan from the clutches of Greer. I mean, the series decided to turn the Machine into a good guy, so why not give Samaritan a redemption-arc where it learns from Shaw how to be a "good guy" (and Shaw being the tutor is a good basis for a lot of humour, I would say :) ). And Greer turns out to be just another person who wants to tell an AI what to do (even if his motivation is different from the government).

While that could be good, it's too much of a stretch to consider. It becomes too convenient and there was absolutely no indication of Samaritan being 'good'. Though to be fair, I have a dislike for redemption arcs when they're for someone who is clearly evil and the writers have to make them good because the good guys can't win. That's just lazy.

Would make for a good crack fic though. Samaritan absorbing Shaw's personality more or less and then The Machine and Samaritan flirting in the background while Root flirts with Shaw. Essentially two sets of the same couple xD

I doubt that the show is really that concerned with historical accuracy to start with though.

If they were, they would have covered the princess' tattoos at least xD

Edit: Anyone seen 'The Girl King'? The tags in IMDB show that there is yuri to be had in the movie, but still.
Edit 2: I have a feeling I've asked before.

Now that I think about it (and after reading a rude fic), would Shaw still manage to somehow escape or would they have 'converted' her with the chips and stuff? Cause they dropped it and didn't mention it in the last season as far as I know. Which made me wonder if there was going to be a Samaritan!Shaw if the show wasn't cancelled? Say, they didn't get cancelled and the whole story wrapped up in season 7/8? How much of that would be Shaw working as a Samaritan agent because she was brainwashed. Cause all of the last part of season 4, that's what they hinted at.

The Handmaiden is very good, it's right up there with Saving Face as my favorite gay movie. It's also based on Sarah Waters' novel Fingersmith, which is excellent.

There's a very long discussion thread here if anyone's interested: http://s1.zetaboards.com/L_Anon/topic/5920311/1/

Also there are trailers on YouTube.

Huh, a lot of people are praising it and saying it's better than the BBC version (which I haven't watched and I haven't read the book either).

Here I am, just waiting for subs. A little wary of the rumored torture scene, but, how much people love it is a good sign. Then again, they typically loooove angst and drama so xD

I... wasn't expecting literal cuck porn. Next time please tag this shit accordingly, so I don't have to stumble across such degeneracy once again. What a boner killer

No one is cheating on anyone in front of someone here. Unless the definition of 'cuck porn' has changed since then. Sure they had sex in front of her, but Misono wasn't together with either of them.

Just finished this very old Xena/Gabrielle fic http://www.merwolf.com/shadow1.html (next parts are linked at the bottom, though in some instances they are not linked correctly so just go to http://www.merwolf.com/ffiction.html and scroll down to Xena the Merciless section and you can choose a part)

It scratched my itch about a brutal and ruthless MC that kills people whenever they please, though, not without a reason (internal one more often than not). Though I won't be reading the sequels, because I absolutely despise the 'misunderstood killer that meets the love of his/her life or some other important figure and they develop a conscious and stop killing' trope and it looks like it will head in that direction.

It's a very good read though, and lengthy. Probably around 200k words, that's just an estimation.

The site http://www.merwolf.com/ffiction.html also has another Xena series that is also, fairly long, because of the number of installments, but there is also some OCs I think, that were eventually published by the author and can be bought, though you can still read them on there.

I guess the author fulfilled his shota/big breasted gal thing again, though this time he used magic and the MCs xD Kobayashi accurately deduced what Tooru would do though, which is at one hand eh and on the other it kind-of-but-not-really showed that Tooru would love Kobayashi no matter what.

Though I imagine she would love her if Kobayashi became a him, cause dragon babies but whatever.

Anyone watching MTV's Scream?

Audrey just confessed that she was (still is? maybe?) in love with Emma and I've been freaking out a bit.

Uh-oh, they gonna be dead by the end of the season then xD

Your help(nagging) solves half of the problems. Unless someone offer me a bounty big enough to make me skip work, a fluent Chinese speaker would be more reliable. They did mention there are many shipgirls in the first part. Having another Kaga meet Akagi#2 puts Akagi#2 in the same spot as Kaga#1, it's not surprising, kinda cool to me and looking at her current work now, complicate plot is her forte it seems.

I'm not on yamibo so I don't know about bounties and stuff xD But I really do want to see the second part and maybe third if there will be one depending on the author and the ending of the second part.

I guess it all comes down to how she's handled it, 'Bloom Into You' is pretty good after all, but it seems like going back to square one instead of continuing with the story. I dunno, as I said, it comes down to execution.

To me it looks like an alternative version to Rhapsody, cause the page 5 of this and page 22 are different in the regard that Kyouko isn't angsting about Yui, so it could be that there was no error at all since this is a fantasy from whatsherface.

Someone in yamibo forum got a hold of part 2 preview book. Going from the pictures alone Kaga requests to be transferred to a different unit than Akagi #2. She also moves out of their shared room. Akagi #2 slaps Kaga. Akagi #2 meets Kaga #2 in a uniform, suggesting either this is a released 'Kaga' or a scrapped one. The plot thickens....I don't have time and anybody to help (nag) me to translate the Chinese translation into English even if just to satisfy curiosity.

If you want someone to nag, I can do it :P But that convolution is stupid. Might as well just start a new one if a new Kaga is gonna be introduced.

Uh, on the same page you link, we see her explaining to Kasumi in details about sin and cos. The whole "git gud" as you say, is in response to Asuza asking about how she, herself, study for exams. It's pretty much shown that when it comes to teaching, she does a proper job, even if it mostly happens off pannel.

I think calling her a crap teacher just because the author didn't bother showing the whole lesson and chose to give focus on the penalty game and Kasumi taking barely readable notes is exagerated, especially since we could see it gave great result in the end. :/

Don't mind him/her, he/she is just salty he/she didn't have a gorgeous tutor to ogle. If you know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

And now she's getting the wrong idea about how a relationship should be. Poor Hina..

Anything noteworthy in True Blood? I've seen it mentioned that it has several lesbian ladies.

So yeah, it's not Malena, but he said that we'll see more Malena? Meaning that a sequel is not out of the question.

she ;)

Goddammit all to hell and these stupid blrahasg..

Fine, I'll think of every author/mangaka now as female. And even if they are male, they will be forever female. That's that.

Oh my god. You have killed me.

I was in denial. Who the hell is the main character now.

Probably Allie, since they didn't kill her off and everything. Can't wait for the slight raging when she starts loving someone else xD

I looked up this work on Deviantart, I think this is the new comic with the same character, page 1:

From their gallery:

Idk what it's about, haven't read it, but I think it's the same character, she's still got that mad cleavage going on

It certainly is the same character, but Malena isn't there. They look a little alike, but their personalities are completely different, also a little fantasy/sci-fi or something? It's kinda confusing.

That sucks, I wonder if she wanted to leave or not.

No happy end for them I guess.

Though, couldn't the writers have given them some happy ending? Instead of killing them off? xD Like transfer to the hospital and they escape or something? And then bring in a new cast.

Then again, ratings.
