Sorry, a question that's unrelated to this but I am curious so..
How much is too much for a person to overdose drugs?
How will that kill a person?
Did the person just happen to have a heart attack and died on spot due to overdose or..?

It's unclear whether she actually took all those pills at the end or hesitated and just fainted from stress.

To answer your question though, it depends on the medicine. They could cause cardiac arrest leading to heart failure, respiratory depression leading to brain damage, seizures, convulsions, passing out and/or vomiting leading to fall related injuries and/or choking, damage to the central nervous system or coma, to name a few.

Generally anything can be toxic if the dose is high enough. I don't remember what that medication she kept on her actually was or if it was ever mentioned but ye, there's plenty ways that could lead to death.

Welp, at least she's honest xD Better than making a promise she might not be able to keep to spare her feelings in the moment

Cat huffing is out of style, fox huffing is the new hotness! I bet she smells like incense and anxiety.

There is no confession, no confirmation of any relationship and generally a huge lack of commitment. I would not consider this a major yuri work at all because of that.

I vehemently disagree with this not being an explicitly yuri work.
Setting aside that all the side couples are in committed, romantic relationships, the only reason there's no formal "I love you, please go out with me" style confession is because every single word they utter to and about each other just drips commitment. They're each others' other half, they'll be together forever, they're the type of couple that's 30 years married after knowing each other for 6 months.

And the kiss being a cop-out I also disagree with. The puppet show was a metaphor for their relationship that literally put the two in the roles of the Protagonist and the Love Interest. The whole chapter ran with that metaphor so it makes sense for them to go "a happy end needs a kiss between the MC and the love interest". It's not that they're only "acting" to kiss. The kisses (note: plural, they kiss twice) are the real culmination of everything ending well, including their relationship. Also reminder that Natsuka literally "can't act for shit" so we know what she does, she does earnestly.

Imho there's a big difference between actual "subtext" and "just not putting in the most literal words possible" and this VN def falls in the latter category imo. Ignoring all this feels like the equivalent of seeing a character saying "The moon is beautiful tonight." while giving a longing look and thinking "Man, she must really like the moon, huh." xD

So Lilja and Natsuka: Painting Lies came out last week. I finished it the other day and was positively surprised, didn't expect smth this introspective from Frontwing of all studios.

Unfortunately the main pairing did not go anywhere in the end. I appreciate the explicit yuri side-pairings at least. Still somewhat baffling, unless they have planned a sequel already.

Not sure what you mean by that, they're as gay and together as can be. Maybe you missed their kissing at the christmas party?

Can we finally get the obvious yuri tag now that even Seb sees the flirting... and goes on to do so herself?

For real, esp considering the series has the yuri tag on the raw site too

Does anyone know the name of the series about a mangaka whose works seem to predict the future, and the main character is her editor who's dealing with increasing disasters happening in the real world and the thought that maybe the author's creative work is somehow possibly causing those disasters that she predicts?

it's this one. Fully translated over on MangaDex:

I'm so glad this series is popular enough to have advertisements like this at a station in Akihabara. Gives me hope that we'll get an anime one day~

Sorry to be blunt, but Windyfall is easily the worst quality translation that's consistently posted to Dynasty - normally I get the impression that there's some quality control with regards to what is allowed on here, but it's like they're an obvious exception to this. Every time I'm about to read something that was translated by them I brace myself for unreadable mess.

They have a long history and have been mostly good. Just check all their other releases throughout the years. I haven't seen much issue with them until recently.

idk if i'd call over a year 'recent', just look at this one from April last year. And that's just the first one i consciously remember rn

this seemed a bit all over the place. maybe there's context i'm missing?

Doesn't help that the translation is pretty rough again, some parts barely make any sense.

Bless the translator for not keeping us in suspense for too long.

As for the story I have no words. No, I do have an open question. Will this become a monster collecting thing, or will it just be two-three (or a few more?) of those to give us a different perspective on this whole monster world?

for all we know she could be dead next chapter, when Takahashi comes in with the "Hands off, she's my prey" and murderizes Slendergal, all 'A Monster Wants To Eat Me' style xD

I don't think this development feels very forced or unnecessary at all. It actually makes a lot of sense to me, honestly.

This is p much their first encounter with a couple of things, namely direct opposition to their relationship and the jealousy that's brought on by said opposition knowing a side of your lover that you don't.

Mashiro was already struggling with feeling like a burden bc of how Nagisa and her met. Now someone who knows her gf from a time "before her" comes along, tells her to her face that she's a bad influence on Nagisa and she beats herself up over feeling jealous of that person. A real hattrick of insecurity.

Meanwhile Nagisa reels from being ambushed by the pressure of someone idolizing her and having to put her foot down against their talking down on her gf. And then when she catches a glimpse of Mashiro's cracking facade she gets real concerned of course, the time when her gf broke down bc she found out about their first meeting prob still fresh in her mind.

But instead of talking to her about it Mashiro tries to play it off, which hits Nagisa with a double whammy of "Oh, I guess she doesn't trust me enough to confide in me" and "What if she runs away from me again?", making her feel hurt.

And thus is the volatile cocktail of hurt feelings and uncommunicated worries created. All in all i think this is a normal, and dare I say necessary, direction for their relationship. Working through conflict makes a bond stronger after all. And the chapter is even titled "Misunderstanding", smth like this was inevitable, really.

Oh my, that manga is indeed looking quite gay. How lovely!

Very much so~ They expand scenes just a little, in all the right places. Like their shopping/aquarium date. they even made Fuki a bit cooler in the 2-vs-2, if ya can believe it xD

Are any of you playing Zenless? I am and am mostly enjoying it... so far anyway.

I'm playing too and it's great~ As a Honkai Impact player the combat feels like a natural evolution from HI3rd and makes me feel right at home :D

Still a marriage is a big deal, representing the "final nail in the coffin," if we want to call it that...

A very bent nail, if you ask me. And I could easily see her husband becoming jealous of the ladies' relationship. I love Usui Shio's works, but this seems a messy ending all around.

Maybe messy is the point, relationships do be like that sometimes~
