This is so much better than expected, mostly due to how entertaining the MC is.

For anyone who doesn't know, the seal is this author's trademark. It just appears randomly in their manga.

So next chapter is the last, excluding some bonus pages.

Eight Trigrams is a Taoist concept that is frequently mentioned in fengshui and such. In Chinese popular culture, the term is sometimes used in an exaggeration manner, to make something sound mysterious, complex or formidable. Not sure what the exact meaning here, but my guess is that the girl is a piece of work and likes to mess with people.

Hey, thank you for bringing more yuri manga to English reader. I adore Aoto Hibiki's art style so it's good to see more of them. This is the mangaka's very first series back in 2014 so I guess the inexperience shows. Hopefully the storytelling is more coherent later.

But letting it end that way could maybe then be a "backdoor" to restart the series eventually. Maybe the author has other projects on their plate right now or something, dunno

This outlook is way too optimistic though. The great majority of mangaka don't have the luxury to draw whatever they want, whenever they want when it comes to official publishing. It's not like an author can just waltz into the editor office and request a serialization. Forget about restarting a finished series; it's not even in the artist's hands whether their current manga can go on or not.

The reality is that when a manga is officially over, in 99% of cases it's gone for good (unless it's one of those blockbusters that spawn cash cow franchises). It's a business. You bet that when publishers are willing to let a series go for whatever reason, they won't be inclined to pick up the same thing again. It's especially true for niche series by low profile mangaka. Nothing stops a mangaka from publish new content of their finished series on twitter, pixiv, (which is what Tokuwotsumu has done for this series) or at doujin conventions, but another serialization won't happen in all likelihoods.

Btw, Tokuwotsumu has just started a new series a couple of weeks ago. Title is 'In this room where cherry blossoms bloom' or something like that. I would certainly check it out if it is translated.

Does this imply Shima is in the closet?

I kinda saw this coming. What surprises me is Ise being aware of it.
On one hand, the fact Shima is canonically gay might set up some potential development on the romance front. On the other hand, the fact Isa knows all along means their current relationship is very stable, and they can just go on like that forever. Whether this series ends in actual yuri or not, I consider it a very good character-driven slice of life, one that actually focuses on the mundane, daily lives of two characters with grounded personalities, and still manage to be interesting and appealing.

Tbh, I thought we were heading toward an ending based on the chapter length and general vibe of the chapter. Never have I been more relieved to see Ongoing on a series before. Now I’m definitely excited for the next chapter. This is by far the best (most enjoyable at the very least) series that’s ongoing on Dynasty right now.

The manga already ended though, with 2 volumes. You were right that we were heading toward the ending.

As far as I can tell, those commenters enjoyed (or continue enjoying) the manga enough to continue, and (in some cases) eventually dropped it and commented as much when that stoppe being true. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

My previous post was more like a generalized observation from my point of view and and didn't mean to say the comments in this thread are unreasonable. I was indeed going off on a tangent, so let's put a stop on this tertiary subject.

Two, several readers have been hopping off the train for the past few chapters, some rather disappointed. Most humans don't deal in absolutes, and are willing to stick with resonant pieces even if those pieces are grating in some fashion. In this instance, without the benefit of reviews to guide them, any given reader may stick it out for several chapters in the hopes that the positives grow and the negatives wane.

Just a thought. For my part, I never understand why people stick with something they find major problems with in hope that it will 'get better', especially when their feedback and opinion have no influence on the production of the work. I don't even read reviews for the most part. If I like something, I read/watch it. If I don't, I don't. Modern people are inundated with entertainment, why bother with something you don't enjoy 100%? Not to mention that free stuff like this are free so your money is not being wasted.
For this particular manga, first chapter tells me it's a wacky comedy ecchi series with a baka perverted MC ( I mean, she time slips by masturbating furiously in a kiddie playground and impulsively kisses her underage senpai on their 'first' meeting) and it remains a wacky comedy ecchi series with a baka perverted MC. So it's not like the manga changes its direction 180 degree after a few chapters. It's been like that from the start.

I'm a little confused by the way Toba seems to refer to her work in progress as a "name" in Chapter 3. I don't know any Japanese, so is there some kind of idiom that's being lost in translation here?

'Name' is the rough draft of a manga. If the editor is OK with the name, then the artist can go ahead and draw a finished version based on it. Basically storyboards.

It was bound to happen. Very few of these LN adaptations go all the way.
That said, the source material is still going on, so you better pray for it to get an English translation, or better yet, an anime.

It doesn't necessarily mean the manga is suddenly getting the axe. It's just the nature of these promotional adaptations to be just long enough to make people check out the original source.

The LN's up to vol 5 now, so unless the manga's plot diverges or gets cancelled somehow it'll probably still keep going

From my experience, LN adaptations are mostly for promotional purpose and not meant to be full adaptation of the work. I wouldn't be surprised if this series stops at the end of vol 2 or 3 of its LN counterpart.

Yup the two new controversial series haha

They will fill up the slot of A Detached Relationship nicely. That said, I doubt either of them will be more extreme than The Filthy You is the Cutest.
