I agree with it being forced. What kind of person sees a "friend" and meets their spouse and so immediately plops their butt down at the table begs for them to buy them stuff. I know of people that are that rude, but not many. Even in Japan, no matter how polite and hospitable the people are, that behavior is grounds to tell them to bugger off.

Was jerkface being a wing man on purpose there ? It sure looks like it :O Also, Mitsuki is such a natural lady killer that she just can't control her powers for long :P

I can't help but think Jerkface was gonna try to use that opportunity for his own sake until Aya grabbed Mitsuki in desperation and he went "Yeah, that works too." Just don't see that guy being that smooth, plus doing wingman duties is only cool when the person in question wants the help, otherwise you're just putting them on the spot. Mitsuki, on the other hand, is a total Chad.

I liked this chapter for the story, BUT I gotta throw the B/S flag for suggesting that listening to G&R repeatedly will make you happy. If I had to listen to Sweet Child of Mine as much as when it originally came out, I think I might be compelled to commit violence. It's not a bad song, but got WAY overplayed.

"Become delicious. Moe ☆ moe ☆ kyun!" certainly beats "Abracadabra!"

Definitely more catchy than the only other incantation I can remember, starts with "Darkness beyond twilight, crimson beyond blood that flows......" and everybody knows the rest.

So many people are willing to give Jerkface another chance one he said he'd keep his mouth shut, but he confirmed his jerkface status when he realized that Aya was into Mitsuki/Shop Clerk and his first inclination was to suggest that he could join in with them in their relations. I understand that impulse to want to watch/join/admire two (or more) attractive women enjoy each other's company, but to suggest that, out loud, to her face, in public (since she was at work), was a true jerkface move. It totally cemented his status as sleaze in my mind.

Yep I'm worried about this as well. I try and give people the benefit of doubt and give others a second chance but the first thing I thought of is he's gonna attempt to blackmail her eventually. Hoping he's not as much of a jerkface as it's lead onto believe though. But I def foresee some kind of blackmail in the future.

No, guys and girls (of any age group/gap) CAN be friends without any of the physical aspects. It wasn't my intention to say that can't happen. My reading of that character and his intentions, based on his behavior and introduction, gives me reason to doubt his sincerity for any kind of friendship that doesn't involve the physical aspects. It's been my own experience that anyone who would try to manipulate people based on their own outer attractiveness (his introduction), isn't too far away from taking that next step down 'that' path. (Not trying to be mysterious or obtuse, I'm trying to not be crass or straight up obscene).

Just binged the whole series (~15 min), got reminded how the uncle was pretty damn cool. Also got reminded about how Mitsuki had a slightly biased bad impression of Aya at the start (popular girl). It was nice to see that Mitsuki wasn't badly treated by her classmates or ignored, like usually happens to "nerdy" characters. The way the author has done this to this point makes the eventual reveal be not a big deal I think, particularly if they get closer as friends before it happens.

She's been had, hornswoggled, and quite possibly bamboozled!
