It reminds me more of Between Philia and Eros, actually. The relationships feel pretty similar - not quite the same, but similar. The biggest difference obviously is the main couple not explicitly being into eachother (yet) in this one.

So my japanese is still pretty basic, but it looks to me like this is a joke about an accidentally suggestive back cover image rather than an actual statement about the characters.

It IS however definitely about Iroha touching Izumi's ass, though, so make what you will of that.

Also the entirety of the chin grab kabedon scene, that's kind of indicative of something.

I wasn't exactly a fan of literally just playing into fantasies of "converting" lesbians either, it was really gross to me. That shit literally gets lesbians raped in real life, to try and "make" them straight, it's gross. I don't want to read about it. Especially not in fucking yuri manga.

God I just reread this it's so fucking good. It's more humor than AnoKiss and less romance, and even with the bloated cast still not quite as many side characters, nor as long, but it's got the same feel (not to mention the same initial relationship between the leads). This is a good manga. Also I literally started sobbing with laughter at a few points in there, so I think hormones must be doing something weird to me because yeah it's funny but that's kinda ridiculous.

Hm, this is kinda interesting, it feels like they went a bit too half-hearted on making Sumika a shitty person, she's just a little spoiled, and she already actually wants to be better. It's a sorta premise I'd expect in an Adult Life manga and to have an actress who's actually a repugnant and terrible person, not someone who's just a bit spoiled and clueless, but actually trying to do well. I don't think it's bad, I just think it's interesting how it didn't match to my expectations.

Yeah, at the very least let her smoke or something, right? Maybe have a meth lab?

I have a feeling that the majority of this work isn't really going to be about Sumika's flaws. Addressing all of Ito's baggage about loving an ideal instead of a person is probably the big obstacle here.

This is kinda the reverse of what this channel is for, but I thought it might be better to put it here than to make a whole new thread. Instead of asking for recommendations based on a theme, I want to know more about a series to decide whether or not to buy it.

Anyway, so has anyone read "Yuri is my Job"? I've heard good things, but I want to know more about it and what I'd expect before I shell out $30 for all the (current) books on amazon. (Sidenote but it was always $45 previously looks like the price got dropped a good amount, that's awesome). So yeah, if you've read it, how is it? what are the good points? how explicit is the romance? Do the main couple actually get together within the 5 volumes that are out so far?

I'm actually expecting pretty soon (maybe 2-4 more chapters) for the "lonely girl" to not make a request for a little bit, and for the other one to initially be relieved, then to start worrying that she's not interested, and by that route realize her feelings. Or for the requests to stop being romantic (ish) in nature, and start being things that are just useful, and for her to start worrying the lonely girl isn't actually interested in her through that route. Depends on how long Kashikaze wants to keep things going in the current status quo though, seems like developments have been fast enough already that I'd expect them to keep being so, but they could also stay at this point or level of intimacy for fairly long pretty easily I bet.

Do people not just... enjoy media? I like some anime, I read a lot more manga because it's easier to access for me, but I've enjoyed some anime more than I enjoyed their manga, and vice versa. Like jesus y'all we are very heated in here tonight.

Oh god I sense angst. And like, with good reason, she's already anxious about her relationship and her girlfriend bailing on a night together (that she was hoping could help patch things up) to spend time with the person she's anxious about her girlfriend spending time with... yeah, I get it. Like, it'd be better if she didn't, but I can see exactly what's coming.

God I forgot how good this manga was until I reread it. I hope it updates soon.

Oh my god I love them. This is amazing I've never seen it before. Ty mods for putting it together into a series so it's easy to read.

Oh this is... something, for sure,, the longing. This is a good manga, the art and the way they portray longing is just... A+.
