Just the other day, the latest chapter of Onee-san wa Joshi Shougakusei ni Kyoumi ga Arimasu was translated. The plotline was that Coco and some other lolis decided to start a private cabaclub business where they would be the hostesses and take money from lolicons like Minori. It worked wonderfully at first (Minori even commented that these amazing lolis had discovered a previously untapped market with unmeasurable potential for profits!) but eventually Yuu forced them to close shop. Yuu claimed that this sort of story was too sordid and immoral even for a sleazefest like OJSKA and no manga would ever fall that low!

Well, it's been only a few days... and look what the cat dragged in.

Just so you know, a highball in Japan isn't the same as a highball in the West. We call highball any cocktail made of a non-alcoholic drink like fruit juice or soda mixed with a little liquor. In Japan, the highball that everyone knows (and is served in bars and izakayas everywhere) is always made by adding carbonated water to whisky and serving the cocktail in a large glass full of ice. It's quite stronger that our usual highballs, too.

On another note, I don't get Meguru's calculations. Why was 14.10 the perfect time? What was she expecting to happen with Toki?

Chinatsu and Nakano seem to be the only ones seriously interested in Miyako. The other ones just want fun no-stringsies sex.

The main difference between them is that while I can see what's going on with Nakano (she's fallen in love, maybe for the first time in her life, and has trouble processing it) I don't understand Chinatsu's angle at all. She seems to be aware of her feelings -- as Miyako points out, she said "I love you" dozens of times during their tryst -- but she appears satisfied with the situation as it is and doesn't look like she wants to change anything. At this point of things, shouldn't she be proposing seriously to Miyako?

So Xiaoen has gone from "Nothing can happen between us, she's too young!" to "It's OK to have a steamy love affair for a few weeks, and after that she'll leave!" Color me impressed, I really didn't think she would have it in her.

This was an especially amazingly good chapter in a series entirely made of amazingly good chapters.

Xiaoen is so lucky to have people like Yunduo and Sixi in her life. I'm almost tempted to say that if you have female friends you're that close with and who care that much about you then you've already won at life and you don't need any fricking romance... but of course, as we all know, that is not the point of romcom so I'll shut up.
