I wouldn't be able to take an explicit version of this manga. It'd just be ... too much.

Did this really need some random half-baked (ha) drugging subplot? Oh, and including some equally random "obviously, ladies wouldn't masturbate" thing ... in some random ecchi manga, because that really makes sense.

Pretty stupid ending, but on the whole, not a big fan of the final arc anyway. Overall was worth a read though I feel it could have been better.

Also: worst Dynasty thread I've seen. First time I actively avoided one for a manga I was reading and every time I forgot about it it was just a bizarre mess ^^

Phew; luckily they'll keep on living as commoners, so when the revolution comes, they might be spared ...

A story doesn't usually give this much attention to some random antagonist. If they get a background story expounded like this, chances are it's indeed meant to "redeeming" in some sense. That's not saying it's endorsing what he's doing, but it's certainly saying "there's something there".

Worst recent case I remember is some fantasy adventure manga where some princess committed genocide against the heroine's people and the reader very clearly was meant to forgive her because daddy treated her badly and she knows better now ...
... obviously, this is not comparable; but a disconnect between an author "I like this character" and the audience "I hate them" and the story development thus not feeling satisfying is not exactly uncommon.

That guy has some serious issues ...

Just hope that the author doesn't feel this is some sort of "sympathetic" backstory. Not being very optimistic there, unfortunately.

259 chapters and the way boobs spill out of panels and then the next shot is some "definitely no underwear in this universe" still makes me laugh ...

Mhm. One of the many things I hate about classic forgettable romance plots; you got two people that are flawed in a (hopefully) interesting way. They meet and (probably instantly) fall in love. Then they change (probably in one cataclysmic event) completely to the most boring aggressively "normal" person ever. Not only is this utter nonsense, but also insultingly dull.

... which isn't to say that I'm enjoying the teacher chapters much. But whatever. At least it's different.

Seeing that this is a manga I'm fully expecting them to (in)conveniently run into somebody and somehow getting interrupted.

When your surreal drug trip has more relationship progression than 3907 chapters of A Room for Two ...

... very surprised nothing about Aki's background came up. Which makes it all the more admirable.

Feels to me way more like the hubby was just sad because he couldn't really make his wife happy / she always seemed vaguely disinterested etc.

Nadeshiko finding her own worth by deciding that she only truly loves one person and isn't just a sex toy is a textbook character arc, it pretty much writes itself. I could be wrong, but I just don't see the author deviating from it much.

Yeah, would be a weird u-turn after all that fuss about being jealous to suddenly have her go "oh, I don't care after all". Given that the series is fairly random and all that I wouldn't say it definitely can't happen but to me as well the direction seems to be pretty clear.

Frankly a pretty shitty thing to do to somebody. FUCKING TALK to each other if you got an issue.

These latest few chapters kinda gave me "developing towards a conclusion" vibe. I hope not. But then I'd want the manga to continue forever, and it's not going to, so ...

Should have made the generic two dudes a lovey-dovey idiot gay couple that just happened to hone in on them via gaydar to genuinely just hang out together ...

Can't decide whether this should just go wholesome, or wholesome BDSM-y ... hmm ...

Surprised we went "back"; given how the manga usually jumps forward ...
