I've really enjoyed this manga, its just a nice blend of funny and sweet!
Does anyone know how long the series is? I know the serialization finished at 2 volumes - so Is vol 3 the last 1?
If so It'll be nearly over which would be sad :(

No way to tell - she can dream they were GFs and she broke up with her without them actually being so- as we've seen in that other series! And Miyoshi can comfort her and say she'd never do that in the sense of- 'it we were dating i'd never break up with you!' and say she loves her etc without them being dating..

But it all equally makes sense from the perspective of them being dating. That just doesn't fit with everything else we know about them so far- unless they suddenly jumped to GFs off page.. but that seems unlikely imo..

So I cant see this as firm proof they are..

Those pondering a Tae X mom pairing - isn't she presumably happily married? So i dont think she is gonna board the Tae ship. At least I assume she is -hasn't Mai mentioned 'parents' plural before? Or even her dad?
Im gonna have to check if she has only ever mentioned 'mom' or parents..

edit- nm lol- i've checked up and Mai never referes to her dad OR her 'parents' only her mom. Only Tae and Shino refer to Mai's 'parents' but they wouldnt know her situation at home and are just assuming.

So Mai might well only have a mom now for whatever reason.

@Mu I doubt it will get serious- its either gona stay unresolved and end more or less like it is now- with Tai having the odd guilt trips as they get closer but nothing develops as of the end. OR - we will get a time skip - or they will become a promised couple- i.e they learn they have mutual love but agree to wait till mai grows up.

We are not gonna get them hooking up in a physical relationship with Mai age 11 - im almost positive - so im pretty sure this manga will be safe to read and enjoy mostly lightheartedly.

So I heard they were married kinda- but it doesn't seem like much of one if it only lasts till she looses a duel- its just some ceremonial role, not a romantic or personal thing right?

Unless you think her friends, the school, her parents etc are all in on some kinda grand conspiricy to pretend some adult is really a child.. for some improbable reason that is far less likely than a tall kid.

In america, from what i could find out, about 1 in 300 or so 11 yr old girls are 165cm. Mai is about 168ish cm- and Japanese are smaller on average too- and she wasnt even 11 yet in the earlier chapters- so maybe she is like 1 in 20,000 or something, but this kinda thing does happen.

And amnesiacs forget memmories- they dont revert to childhood. And Mai has shown no sign of confusion or that she doesnt remember her past.

^I expected it too- after the rain. But even without that, the person getting sick and looking after them chapter seems almost obligatory lol.

@Saskabush - I know being cold doesn't give you a cold- but being cold and wet DOES increase your vulnerability to catching one because it messes your immune system up- so if you are then exposed to the virus you are less likely to fight it off easily.

^Well- we call many ailments 'colds' - they can be something more serious thats going around tho- also I guess some people have weaker imune system / bodies - so im sure it happens - if fairly rarely.
She also hadnt been taking medicine or eating and drinking properly- mighta been mostly dehydration.

Just discovered this manga lol? No she really is 11 or whatever it is. Its made that clear- we've seen her with her classmates in her class. And NO- its not impossible- its just quite rare to this extent. Have a search and you'll find pics of stories about 10 and 11 year olds in the news who are like 6ft+ playing american football in their school team etc.. every bit as adult looking as this. Sometimes the hormones just kick in way early.

The actual most unbelievable thing related to her age is how she sometimes acts like she is being smooth and seductive.
She did say once she has seen her older sister act like that or something but even still. Either way its just a manga so Im hardly expecting realism.
