This is such an underrated one-shot, I always end up having it re-read to fully understand the work play and take in the art, which is so delicate yet visceral and heart-wrenching. The problem with unrequited love is that though they make for beautiful stories, you wanna yell at the characters to JUST CONFESS. Especially when it really does look to be mutual. It’s not like they’re never going to meet again, so hopefully Umi pushes forth on her feelings since Ryou has given up. But this is just wishful thinking on my part. Anyways, this also has one of my favorite pages of manga ever (Pg 23)
