Yeah, it's really obvious. Most yuri authors who write about huge gap couples identify with the plain-ish girl who is seduced by a cooler/taller/stronger/older/more beautiful woman, and expect the readers to do the same. There's a reason Flowerchild's avatar is Aya from Warikan. ;-)

I'd like to add my two cents: the happy time the two MCs enjoyed together at the hot spring town was like a vacation from real life issues... and it wouldn't be at all unreasonable for Maki to think that, after the vacation's over, there is a good chance that Midori will return to the father of her child. Even if he's a nasty guy who can even go dv on occasion.

I mean, it's only at the end of chapter 13 that Midori states plainly that she wants to be with Maki forever. If you look at it from Maki's pov, up to that moment, Midori's plans for the future weren't clearly determined at all. Perhaps running away with Maki, and squandering all the money saved for the wedding, was just a small revenge on Tazune before returning to him? Because the social, familiar & economic pressures on a pregnant woman to get hitched to the man who fathered the baby are frigging enormous. Idk if you've read Happy Sugar Life, but if you have you should remember Shio's mom and how she got pregnant — and how the two families dealt with the problem.

I'd say we just need to look at the face Maki makes when Midori proposes to realize that it wasn't the development she was expecting. Gosh I wish they had had more time to talk about their future together before the great Assholio showed up. (But at least Midori did propose before he came: now Maki's pessimistic mood has been lifted and she can face him with a clear conscience. It really was a close one, wasn't it?)

IKR? Flowerchid Ueda is one of the few manga authors who have that effect on me, too. After reading Warikan and Eve's Medicine, I feel like throwing huge amounts of money in her direction just so that she continues writing wonderful, thrilling romantic-sexy stories like these ones.

Think of this work as "proto-WariKan." It has many similar themes in it, as you will see soon. This story is 6 chapters long, and I've already completed translation for four of them. The typesetter for this is also doing their best to redraw a lot of the scenes here since there's a lot of text that overlap with the art, so give them some love too!

Descubrí dos cosas que destaco:
1) El nombre corto de la serie Warikitta Kankei Desu Kara es Warikan. Parece que usar "Warikitta" cuando queremos ser breves no es correcto. Desde ahora usaré Warikan.

I did a little searching in some raw manga archives, but found nothing. :/ Your best bet is asking the Spanish scanlators where they did get their raws. They aren't top quality scans, but look decent enough.

Eve no Okusuri's first chapter has just been translated to Spanish. I expect we'll see it translated to English soon. It's a one-volume manga Flowerchild published right before starting Warikitta. It's like a general rehearsal for Warikitta, lol. The main differences are that, in Warikitta, Sei is not a teacher at Aya's school, and Aya is already a woman with a well-developed body. Thus, the potential problems with authority issues and underaged sex are cleanly solved. In Eve no Okusuri, Eve is a middle-schooler with a tween's body, and the beautiful sexbomb sensei who seduces her works at Eve's school, haha. (In fact, they have sex at school in this very first chapter!) But, leaving those details aside, it's easy to see that the two MCs are prototype characters for Aya and Sei. (Eve's thoughts about how wonderful it is to have a nice, beautiful, sexy older woman pamper you and make you feel good? Just what you would expect of Aya!)
For now, there's only one translated chapter out, but I can already tell it will be a fascinating read... among other things, because we will find out the secret origin of that awesome masterpiece of yuri that is Warikitta. (b^_^)b

Since this manga (as far as I can tell) is in real time (the last chapter was a February in a leap year and this chapter was March, so it presumably takes place in 2020)

It is just as you say. The story timeline follows exactly our real time. One month in real time is one month in the manga, and one year in real time is one year in the manga.

I wonder if the April chapter will have anything to do with the whole global lockdown thing. Of course, the manga doesn't necessarily take place in our universe, so the author doesn't have to incorporate it if they don't want to (I imagine they have chapters more or less planned out in advance), but it would be interesting to see.

Imagine if Japan went into an European-style lockdown. A strict “shelter in place” policy.

Kasumi and Sakurako would have to stay at home, just the two of them, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Can you picture it? Our girls, all alone in a small apartment, with nothing to do but enjoy each other's company, for Heaven knows how long?
