woah that panel of the manager looming behind her is so fucking scary. You can really feel that helpless claustrophobia of living with an abuser who invades all your privacy without a second thought. Flowerchild is so fucking good at depicting fucked up, dangerous, and sickening dynamics and feelings. The chemistry is so electric, and everyone is weird and messed up and has not done any work to sand down their jagged edges, and I'm so so so excited for this manga.

Oh yeah. Not disappointed in the least. The ryo one was hot as fuck too, I love it when shy timid girls are huge masochists. Like you'd expect someone leaning way into all the things she's anxious about and afraid of would crush her, but for it to instead drive her crazy... idk there's just something about it. Kitaku is always so based. The others were cute too, I love how you can see how she views all the members through the kinds of fantasies she has.

The younger sister has a different family name due to some yet to be explained shenanigans.

I'm often wrong about these types of things and probably am here too. Especially since I'm just basing this prediction on the the author drawing attention to this unnamed sister in the first chapter and it not being known where MC's first love is now.

I wonder if Niji will just have a regular crush on Remu, considering this manga is exploring fetishes for what appears to be 3 other characters so far. I am getting slight yandere vibes from Niji though.

Still having a hard time wrapping my head around Azuki being hung up on her HS crush after 6 years. She even gets offended by Remu talking about her ideal figure having a tighter waist as if Remu was directly insulting Meguru.
I guess it was obvious in the first chapter but this one reinforced how her love for Meguru has evolved into an obsession in the 6 years since she last saw her.

Yeah, she's... definitely ill, and not in the cutesy way you often see in manga.

It's really cool to see them portray this in a main character though, I'm so excited to see how this develops.

this is so interesting, I love to see freaky yuri and stuff about mentally unhealthy girls who maintain a fragile existence. Somehow it makes everything feel more real, intense, and earned--same kind of thing i enjoyed in watamote. Really looking forward to this one.

A touch of misunderstandings, dash of inadequacy and a heavy sprinkle of denial. Solving the denial part probably solves the first two, but the first two make the denial stronger, which is funny.

Yeah komaki is in sort of like a fallen hero place where she embraced the thought that she will never have wakaba and is pursuing that to the very end.

She was a sincere girl who, in that moment where the suffering people's jealousy put her through was too much, decided to become insincere and superior and look down on people (understandable, for a young kid with no emotional support) but it meant she never developed the ability to sincerely express her feelings and be vulnerable. So when she started falling in love with her only friend, and then wakaba turned to look elsewhere, she thought oh i can never have her but I can't live without her.

So instead of sincerely expressing the depth of her emotions, which she can't do because she can't be vulnerable, she's giving up completely on having wakaba for herself and instead is trying to cling to her, to carve some of herself into her, so that when wakaba leaves her they'll still be tangled up in each other. she loves her so much she can't let her go, but she can't be honest with her. I mean she literally gave up a better school to pursue this girl who she tanked her relationship with. Just to make her hate her more, to get her hands on her for longer, to dig her claws in deeper.

She's, like, following the dark side of toxic yuri, so i think she'll never be able to ask wakaba out.

And then wakaba also hates and mistrusts her for the fucked up thing she did to her, which was a profound and unexpected betrayal. She hates her because she loved her so much and got punished for it.

She wants to break through komaki's jadedness and give her what-for, and she still clearly has feelings. But she needs to grow to the point where she'd want to be together with her for real, and to understand her emotions, and to do what she does best: pierce komaki's shell. and then komaki needs to give up on being doomed and meet her halfway, so they can form something secure.

they both need to grow a lot, independently and together, before that could happen. so it's a pretty long road. And damn is it well set up.

I think it’s something like that, but given it seems like her original trauma is “this girl who is the only person in the world with me, the only one who knows me and who I can trust, is moving away from me and focusing on other people and I’ll have nothing left,” I’d put it more like, “she’s trying to cling onto Wakaba as long as she can and carve a record of herself into her so that when Wakaba leaves her, at least she’ll still have her blood on her fingers, at least the scars she left will still touch her skin.”

It’s driving me crazy. There is no yuri more peak than this. The little cracks in Komaki’s cold facade revealing desperate, wild emotion just underneath. The way she looks invincible and alone, but I just know that if Wakaba told her something like “if only I had been a better friend to you when we were younger, maybe you wouldn’t have hurt Senpai like that” it would completely shatter her, like tear her guts out, in such a multi-layered and profound way… oogh im feeling faint.

And wakaba!! That desire to challenge and overturn Heaven to prove Komaki is human (so she’ll finally get off that high horse? so she’ll overcome that sense of alienation, and not feel so alone?) could carry a series on its own, just with her struggling and falling and rising again and keeping that girl in her sights on the ever-distant horizon… but they had to be gratuitous and ALSO include the conceit that she gets emotionally tortured in a sexy, dangerous and permanent way to further mingle her hate and love, her affection and disgust, to further complicate her motivation to beat Komaki (to tear her down. to reach her.)

She’s like. Defiantly, spitefully challenging komaki for her hand in marriage, but every time she loses and is subjected to erotic yet cutting Female Bullying that further scars her and brings them closer.

Oogh. It’s too muchhhh. Im gonna vomit up peat from the yuri swamp any second now.

I fucking love that so many people do omegaverse for these two with an unusual setup, like two alphas or two omegas. It just fits them so perfectly, like they stand on equal footing and compete and they weren’t brought together by natural expectation but by the feelings they have for each other. It makes is extra gay in a way that synergizes with the tension of their rivalry, it’s volatile and ardent full of a deep underlying affection.
