doujin

It's a one-shot from Yuri-Hime.

I don't think the translation quite gets across a key line: Midori basically says she found herself agreeing with/convinced by Azusa's comment. That's what her look of horror before the slap was about.

Rina's route in Sakura no Uta, if you take the branch where she chooses the main character.

"Men forgetting the first wedding anniversary must be immediately suspected of being scumbag cheaters".

Judge, jury, and executioner.

What's the point in posting a dumb straw man?

It's a story constructed a particular way. From the beginning it has been portraying him as someone who is relatively cold on the relationship despite being a newlywed and doing nothing substantial to give him an image as committed.

It's the first anniversary and it's the first thing the character does in the manga. Cheating would fit his image.

No, he was presented as a man who forgot his first wedding anniversary.

Lol, and that contradicts the statement you were replying to in what way, exactly?

It's not normal by Japanese standards. It's the first major thing he does in the manga so from the beginning it was establishing he wasn't very committed to the marriage.

He was presented as a normal brother (or, even, a doting brother), a normal husband (as per Japanese standard : ie never home, working all the time and somewhat neglectful of his wife).

No, he was presented as a man who forgot his first wedding anniversary.

But yeah,in chapter 4, it was hinted that he dumped her several times but got back with her eventually, after fooling around and then marrying her.

The verb they use applies to both breaking up and being turned down, but I think in context it's more likely they mean he kept turning her down.

Mountain Pukuichi counted their previous Kirara serialization as yuri/GL. It was Amayuru and was about 2 pairs of roommates. The yuri level of Tamayomi hasn't been nearly as high.

ONE tournament. For all Japan...

I think you'll struggle to get accurate information if you're searching in English.

Different national tournaments:

I thought there was no girl baseball in high-school because there's no tournament for them in Japan anyway, so it's a waste of time. Finding another team is probably nearly impossible.

But hey, it's manga world.

There are Japanese schools with female baseball clubs. They do have tournaments.

This is poorly translated in general, but 合コン translated as "yuri-con" is an especially bad mistake.

The obvious one is the Manager and Model, but that's the only one I can remember off the top of my head.

This is from years before they existed.

It's still an ongoing series. It's on about chapter 37.

The mangaka seems to fairly inactive since Kanamemo. Wondering if she found a full time job or something.

Man, if only all of us readers can pitch in something so the author can at least finish up this manga

Recently she had been doing two series, Shougakusei no Atama no Naka and Senbonzakura, although I think one has finished and the other will soon.

So... there's a chapter for this Itou Hachi cover?

No. There is an Itou Hachi story but not with those characters. It's about a bird loli and dog woman.

if im not wrong, this manga has doujin from the original author (i believe the author release the doujin first before this serialization even began)

is there anyone here who knows where to find that doujin? or at least tell me what happened in the doujin?

The doujinshi it's based on is collected as part of Onedari Shite Mite.

In the college arc, Sakurako and Kasumi spend a lot of time hanging out with their new friends Moka and Koruri. Sakurako is a bit shocked when it becomes clear that Moka has many sex friends, both female and male. Koruri is who Moka is serious about though and Moka has frequently asked her out. For now, Koruri is happy remaining friends. Moka often stays over at Koruri's house but it seems Koruri hasn't agreed to sex.

^what would the word for that be? :3

In practice you either say they're siblings (kyoudai) or you refer to her as a younger sister or older sister.

joined Mar 15, 2017

though you can use ane for just sister in general.

Not really.

If you want to make it clear that just sister is meant you put ane + imouto together and get shimai

That's sisters. You can use it to say that girls are sisters, but you can't use it to say that a girl is a boy's sister.

By the time the series ended last year, enough chapters had come out in Champion Red and Champion Red Ichigo that another volume would have been possible, but mangaka tweeted that there was no plans for one.

That was surprisingly tragic for this series. It ended in a cute way, though.

And apparently the next volume will be a return to the school setting? I wonder if we'll see an older Sayuri and Yoriko who are now dating (or in some kind of wrestling club).

There was no next volume. There's a bunch of chapters but the publisher chose not to give it a 3rd tank. Back when the series ended the mangaka thought maybe a doujin release would be possible, but I don't think there's been any word of it actually happening.

Her last statement when her monologue was over probably clinches my opinion of Sayaka being more selfish, "And who am I to interfere? I wouldn't stoop that low." She views as stepping in to force Touko to change as "low." Like forcing someone to change is terrible because you're forcing what you want on another person. And yes, if the situation was different, I'd be agreeing with Sayaka. But that's not what's happening here, is it?

That's not what she means. The Japanese phrasing is clear: she thinks she'd be pathetic if she were to obstruct Yuu. She thinks what Yuu is doing is good, she wasn't brave enough herself to risk doing something similar, she had a chance to stop Yuu by siding with Touko, but she thinks it would wrong to stop Yuu doing it.

that cat sure know a lot...studying for the prez.

It comes from the old way the sellers of lunches at stations sold them from a box with straps similar to an usherette tray.

The manga is better for being ensemble and the central couple are well designed so that their narrative helps the ensemble structure and that structure is also crucial to giving their story the emotional significance it has.

Anyone know the other robot series about love between the female creator and the robot? I read it a long time ago but forget the title.
