Yes as far as I know they made a movie first and afterwards came the TV series. I don't think it's a sequel tho, just another way of telling the story so I was wondering which one would be the better choice, or, which one has more yuri since I'm not necessarily interested otherwise.

Well for the animation yuri in western culture, there's Steven Universe for one.

And btw, Shannara Chronicles confirmed for a second season. Get ready because I'm 99% sure the writers will give Eretria a love interest.

I just caught up to Haifuri and it's by far the silliest thing I've seen in a while.

New show Wynonna Earp has potential gay stuff. It's a Syfy show so don't expect high art, but reportedly it's campy fun so far.

What is the show about?

so, i already played the PSP Saki.
my first thought was: "meh. its just a repeat of the anime"
the mahjong is fun tho(i have to play in easy mode because im still THAT terrible)
and then... the bonus story. NODOSAKI CONFIRMED. I REPEAT, NODOSAKI CONFIRMED. at the start of the summer, nodoka(shyly) asked if saki wants to do "homework" together, and saki being the cute and nice protag she is, she said yes. buchou, mako, and yuuki heard their conversation and decided to cockblock nodoka.

they decided to go to nodoka's house, because nodoka (again, shyly) said that her father wont be home and saki can come over and saki, oblivious af to nodoka's...ahem hidden motives, said yes excitedly.
they were in nodoka's room and SUDDENLY BUCHOU AND YUUKI AND MAKO APPEARED(i was seriously pissed) and ask nodoka for a mahjong match. after nodoka won, they jokingly said to nodoka "take it easy!" and she literally almost explode from embarrassment. they went home.
Saki and nodoka were just about to start on their homework BUT SUDDENLY THREE WILD TSURUGA MEMBERS APPEARED. yumi, momo and kaori. goddammit, nodoka thought. and yada uada yadadada buchou called them and said they should have a match(cockblock) with nodoka at her house(how could they even enter the house nodo and saki is at nodo's room) so another mahjong match ensues.
after that, the tsurugas went home and nodoka suggest (sigh shyly) that they should cook dinner together and when they were just about to go, suddenly fujita, kana and mihoko came, saying that buchou called them and nodoka is stuck to another match(btw in these matches, buchou specifically said that they have to fight nodo). after the match, nodo and saki cooked dinner.
after having a nice dinner, saki asked if she could take a bath and nodoka(SHYLY) asked if she could join- AND SUDDENLY KOROMO, HAJIME AND TOUKA CAME AND ANOTHER MATCH(cockblock) ensue.
after the match, they went home and the two girls took a bath(together. yayyyyy).
after taking a bath, nodoka with super doki doki asked if saki would like to sleep together but saki already fell asleep and nodo was just about to join and table flip buchou, yuuki and mako came and asked for a match(cockblock. or is it p***yblock lmaooooooooooo). nodoka wants buchou to explain whats up with all the cockblocks and buchou said she'll tell her if nodoka won. matching nodoka's anger, i literally ended the game with baimans and yakumans. after that, buchou explained that she wants nodoka to at least understand that superpowered players are real, not just some supertitious bullshit and nodoka complies because she understands(or she just want them to get hella outta there) and they went home, again saying "take it easy~" after that nodoka stares at saki fondly, and thought "im with the most supertitious person" and then nodo can finally sleep with her garufurendo. the end.
phew. it was a great game.

Well I sure as hell am thankful for that aspect of the manga.And the anime that it brought.

I had this theory that Honoka Maki (Kiznaiver) was actually gay and that was her secret that she didn't want to reveal in episode 2. I came to this conclusion because there was a mysterious girl, whos face we did not get to see, standing back to back with her in the opening and it gave me yuri vibes.

Turns out she's just a murderer.

Yeah I'm not used to this forum I guess. Where I'm at it's completely normal to just talk freely about smth as soon as it passed the one week mark (or more depending what type of media it is), but I'll put in hidden spoilers from now on.

And the show is promising I hope my spoilers wont stop you from watching it.

And what's the general reception? Are they happy that they're including lesbian characters or are the other part of the community trying to imply that they're trying to divert the attention from Emma/Regina? xD

I'm seeing a very split community. On Facebook lots of people are complaining that they are not going to allow their children and themselves to watch a show that gives in to perverted things and other ridiculous stuff.

On the other hand the reception is not overwhelming but I see just as much people happy about this.

As for Emma and Regina, that's just another story entirely and honestly who wants to give into ship wars if we're all fighting for the same thing.

I think it's nice that they added this. And if we see them again or not might not even matter because they'll live happily ever after.

Eh, having them be queer tokens leaves a bad taste. They get to be happily ever after, the creators get to pat each other on the back for being so inclusive, and the audience...gets one episode, and maybe the occasional cameo in a group shot. Nothing that really affects the series in any lasting way.

I'd rather them get a one off than have them get more episodes together and then have the Bury Your Gays trope rear it's undead body once again. And it being a network station, it will.

I'm oddly reminded of this sequence. It's feel-good "kindness" glossing over the fact that we're still just getting table scraps.

Do you know how many children watch this show? This was huge, and the fact that they included it so naturally will make younger audience feel normal which is so important and definitely deserves thanks over more complaining. OUAT has a huge audience and they did us a good deed with this, not only these 2 ladies but also Mulan.

Yeah Kobayashi-sensei is a woman. Even so it's easy to think otherwise. Regardless of whether or not it's wrong to assume, most people wouldn't assume a woman drew Nodoka's boobs... or really any of Saki.

What??? I'm actually baffled that she's a woman, I'd never expect a woman to pick up so much fanservice.

This is relevant to our interests: Urara Meirochō Manga About Divining Girls in Training Gets Anime

It has slightly more plot that your average 4koma manga and an all-female cast so far. It's also ridiculously cute. Tons of yuri subtext, too, and it usually isn't very subtle. To give you an idea, this is one of the main pairs from the author's previous series. Really excited about this one, I hope the adaptation is decent.

I'll be looking forward to this I guess since there is literally nothing else to look forward to in terms of Yuri.

couple-ish is a youtube webseries that has queer relationships and characters. dunno if anyone else has mentioned this but its pretty good.

I didn't feel like there was anything outstanding about this webseries and in the end they fell into one of the dumbest cliches, it was a disappointment.

Love is Strange: Victoria is tsundere - "It's not like I want to photograph you or anything!" lol

I'm surprised to say Victoria's route was my least favorite. On the other hand, Rachel's route was surprisingly good. Now I miss Life is Strange even more. We'll have to wait decades before we see a game like this again and a fanbase that will follow up with an amazing VN.

Callisto was interesting as a character, but funny enough I actually liked her dynamic with Gabrielle more than with Xena. After all Xena is the reason why Callisto turned the wrong way.

I didn't grew up with the Xena show so I watched some of it recently

Did you like the show in general? I hope you get to watch all of it if you have the time. It's honestly the greated show in existence if you ask me. And I love all of it, including the ridiculousness.

Let's be completely honest here: Even though XWP wasn't all in our face with their relationship being openly gay or whatever doesn't mean it wasn't obvious. Just imagine what they're actually saying with this, sure it might be more physical and some sort of satisfaction about it but will it ever live up to the relationship these two had in the original XWP?

And after all these could just be empty promises. I'm excited to watch the reboot but it wont even come close to what the original gave us in terms of relationship, no matter how much glorious homoerotic overtones it will bring us.

Needles to say, if they pull it off like they say they will, I'll be happy nonetheless. I just feel like some people are undermining the connection Xena and Gabrielle had through solid 6 seasons.
