Way more importantly... is that it?! No sequel?! Or is it supposed to lead into the show and that went totally over my head?

According to Baka-Updates, there is a sequel called Third Stage - I Want to Become the Wind. It was released as part of the anthology Love Chaser 4 (starts on page 6). Unfortunately, it seems like this never got translated.

There's at least one more part to this called "Mermaid Dream Part 1". It was included in Crystal Planet's Haruka and Michiru 2 but it seems like that chapter never got translated.
