Pretty sure it was Asuka’s imagination. She was getting it on with that unnamed black haired girl, but was imagining the girl was Ayako the whole time and realized she was actually just in love with her mom.

Seems like Ayako has caught onto Jun’s feelings for Asuka though, in some sense.

I didn’t realize the most recent chapter came out a month ago, whoops.

Short spoilers:

Nothing much, except Akira and Pure end up going to a hangout with their classmates, when one classmate admits that she feels like she doesn’t really romantically like her partner and she feels she only has feelings of dependency towards him — exactly like how Akira feels about Pure. Another classmate tells her not to worry, and that “liking” somebody and being “dependent” has its similarities and is not necessarily as black-and-white as it seems, and tells her to imagine if she was confessed to by another guy, would she have gone out with him instead?

Akira, who has been listening intently, takes this advice seriously, and realizes she can “like” and be “dependent” on Pure at the same time, and that had she not met Pure, she likely would not have come to feel this way about somebody else. She recognizes Pure as an irreplaceable person to her, and at the end of the chapter, basically admits to herself that she has fallen in love with Pure.

Holy fuck next chapter is amazing! Maybe this manga will manage to redeem itself?

Well, that "still not dating" line is meant as in "even now, we aren't"; not as "we aren't, yet".

But there's plenty of other signs that they're starting to move forward, so that fact shouldn't really dampen anything.

I'm assuming Yume appears in other events or maybe does other things outside of her own stream on different days, but that's just me trying rationalize why Yotsuba is "always" so accommodating. If I scheduled dates on days where I was busy and the other person reminded me that I had something to do, then that's nothing of concern and entirely on me, but what Yume is saying here is that Yotsuba is always accommodating, like when Yume's Sunday suddenly gets taken up, Yotsuba immediately gave her the okay without a second thought. I feel as if situations like that happen often between them.

Although Yume was definitely being really vague when she walked out, I kind of understand her reasoning. As frustrating as it is, lack of communication is just so prevalent in relationships of all kinds, and I'm sure her insecurity was doing her no favors.

EDIT: Wait, I just realized Yotsuba’s birthday was completely forgotten, LOL. I guess it’d be really suspicious if your girlfriend blows off her own birthday as no big deal...

This is kind of nitpicky and I’m basing this entirely off memory, but I think Touko says (very loosely, mind you, but the meaning is there) something along the lines of: “This life is mine to decide” before the curtain closes, to which Yuu replies with “It’s yours, senpai.”

The fact that she already has her own swapping partner is why I found the teacher-student discussion a bit absurd, but I couldn't really say anything until it was confirmed.

Although nobody pointed out how her name fit the swapper theme: the number "twelve" in her family name, and "Summer" in her given name.

Personally, I loved it. It was about a 12 hour read going through everything. I don't want to give anything away though, since it is partly a mystery story.

New chapter is out, oh dear.

Biggest developments are:

- Akira is starting to like Pure even more, despite her initial distaste in the idea of loving someone else. In this chapter, we see that Akira has become more comfortable with Pure. When Pure tries to go home, Akira invites her to a sleepover instead. She also laments over the idea that despite becoming "kiss friends", they didn't get to kiss at all the entire day. At the end of the chapter, she remains blissfully ignorant of Pure's slightly distant behavior.

- Meanwhile, we see that while Akira was out of the house, Pure and Ruri had a discussion where Ruri revealed that he knew Pure came back from the future. He asks Pure why she came back, but we see that Ruri already knows the answer: because Akira had died sometime in the future. Pure wants Ruri's help in saving Akira from her demise. In response, Ruri asks Pure if she knows what he's done with a certain something (unrevealed). She says that she does, and that she knows of his failures too. Ruri is more or less intrigued, but drops the subject. He challenges Pure by telling her if she does anything now, something will definitely change in the future. He takes his leave, but not before asking her this: "You say that my older sister is your fiancee, but are you sure your memory is correct?"

- Pure has a headache the entire time she's over at Akira's house, much to the latter's concern. Pure takes some medicine for her headache, but while Akira is sound asleep, Pure suddenly recalls that while she did confess to Akira, the latter actually turned her down, saying that she only sees Pure as a friend. The chapter ends with Pure crying next to a sleeping Akira.

Like, dude. What are you doing? Entirely aside from brushing off the idea that your wife would have a reason to meet your goddamn parents, did you just forget that she had something to say? Are you deliberately avoiding her, or does she really register so little in your mind? The strong possibility that he's cheating is almost immaterial at this point, he's such a shitty husband that it's not even worth pretending that the relationship is still functional.

I feel like he doesn't want Kaoru to meet them because of their past history. Kaoru did mention once that she felt guilty for a certain incident regarding Uta's family that made Uta unable to trust the adults around her.

Red flag in relationship: “I’m tired and going to bed” instead of resuming important conversation.

(Yeah, I know—if Kaoru really has something to say, ultimately it’s her responsibility to spit it out. But when your partner clearly needs to say something but is having trouble saying it, blatant avoidance in response is not a good sign. At all.)
