Haru's expressions are really well drawn on that last chapter. I love the embarassed realization about why Fuyu is lying about her fortune we can see on Haru's face, the author really nailed it.

I just love those chill mangas about high school girls relaxed and drama free lives. Sure nothing ever happen, but I find those to be really comfortable, especially after a tiring week of work and such.

Milk tooth?
How old is Leo?
Teeth fells off until 11~13 years
What the fuq, Itou Hachi, WHAT THE FUCK?

Yeah Itou, normally your mangas only have 8-10 years old girls, what gives?

A very worrying change

Maybe we had legal pairing in Itou Hachi work one day

Let's not get crazy here !!

Sigh... why is it that authors have no clue how to end their series? I'm pretty sure like 80% of these series have bad endings. Is it really so hard to end it with them going out?

I think the issue is more related to how manga and serialization works in japan than authors being incompetent (though for some case, I do believe some lack of competence on the author part is also a factor, more on this later).

As most of us know, mangas runs in magazine for an undetermined time and are often subjected to reader's polling to measure how popular a series is. Which means that an author can pretty much runs a manga for a long time as long as it keep drawing a considerable interest (Yes, I'm looking at you, detective conan and your 1000+ chapters).

Based on that, unless an author actually want to go for a set number of chapters, they kinda have to keep things running while making some progress to the story to keep things entertaining, avoid readers getting bored and keep performing well enough to keep rolling. Reason why in romance mangas, the main couple is pretty much bound to keep avoiding confessing to each other because in a lot of people's mind : confession of main couple means nearing the end of the manga. So yeah, also why side couples are more lucky as they can make more progress without making it so it's about to end (room for two is actually a good example of this one, keeping the main girls in a sort of shraudinger yuri state while side couples are actually dating).

The consequence is that when a series is suddenly axed, the author is given a small number of chapter to actually wrap up the whole thing (usually around 3 to 5, it seems), with no regard of the current state of the series at the time.

So yeah, making a fitting end all of a sudden with just a few chapters to work with ? Probably means reworking a lot of things and that is, I believe, where an author talent will shine, as a skilled one might be able to do good under such dire circumstances, but at the same time, you might have been, prior to the axe falling, in such a state, story wise, that no amount of talent can credibly recover in time for the finish, which will way too often leave the reader with a feeling of discomfort.

Sorry for the wall of text, but thought it might help to share those thoughts. If not, well, just toss it in the bin o/

Ok, so the gay parallel was kinda clumsy, but as far as I know, killing people is just as illegal as molesting children. Yet we have crapton of movies, books, comics, series, video games and whatever about people killing other people and not always in self defense or even with some valid moral high-ground.

The thing is, people get frantic when it's about children in a weird way. I mean, years ago, I was browsing a wiki about skyrim and there was a page where people were enthusiastically talking about how they modded the game to allow killing children and going on to discuss the various way they killed Braith over and other again (for those who're not familiar with skyrim, braith is a really bratty little girl). And then someone come into the discussion, saying they would rather give her a hug and a kiss. All the people who were explaining how they were enjoying decapitating a virtual little girl were now going all high and mighty calling that person a pedophile when they never even mentioned having sex or anything with Braith.

Always rubbed me wrong ever since. I mean, even with the fallout series, going even back from 1 and 2, people were complaining about kids disappearing or even being unkillable. It's like murdering kids is fine because it's all a game and not real, but sex ? That doesn't benefit of the same "it's not real, so it's fine" policy ? Kinda strikes me as hypocrite in too many way. Also, rape is just as bad, but you see a lot of rape fantasy in hentai, yet people don't complain all that much against that. Unless, of course, it's lolicon as well, but then people tend to protest more about the lolicon side rather than the rapey side.

Point is, people have likes and dislikes, sure, but does that make some crime acceptable in fictions and others unnacceptable based on that ?

Mmmh, not too sure how I feel about that ending. Last few chapters felt all over the place, like the author tried to cram as much stuff as they could in whatever chapters they had left.

Also would have preferred for them to stay unable to swap and moved on to an actual relationship. In the end, them being unable to swap for a few pages didn't have much impact on their relationship as they already got comfortable with kissing each other.

I enjoyed this manga, but the ending really felt kinda weird to me.

Long

Well, Strawberry Panic always felt like a copy of Marimite with a more "in your face !" yuri. I remember it felt awkward on many levels when I watched it, especially after Marimite, but also that it being less "subtexty" about the yuri was actually refreshing for once.

I love that series, but frankly, I never really see going beyong cute girl doing cute games, Kou or no Kou.
And really, that's pretty much all I expect from this serie. The whole pseudo drama with Momiji getting to be the chara designer ? That felt way too forced in my opinion. Aoba or even Yuu should have gotten that one. All it proved to me was that Hajime is crap at making decisions.

Y'know, as much as I dislike Kaoru for her messing with many girls (especially Shizuka), there are some chapters that almost makes me like her and think she wouldn't be such a bad person if she could stop acting like everything around the world is ultimately about her.

I love how the twins are considered a good luck charm, like their overpositivity is somehow contagious. XD

Also, last one about yuu and the twins kinda made me feel like Yuu wouldn't mind adding them to her pets. ^^; Could be fun seeing her trying to get all dom on them and the twins messing her up just by being themselves.
