JFC, demanding sex is never okay. Demanding sex is never okay. Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Sex is never an ultimatum, that's rape. Sorry if I take rape apologists too personally, but I ran out of capacity to forgive someone who decides they're entitled to sex.

This is so sick. I can't even begin to figure what kind of twisted shit goes through your mind to make you hate sex so much. It's like, in all the incredibly wide range of human activities and interests, you condone everything but sex; you hand-pick sex and throw it in a separate moral category as something dirty, harmful and horrible.

There are people like that. Their whole worldview is distorted by anti-sex prejudice. Sad, but true.

Say I bring someone to my house for a meal. If I say "Okay, I'm cooking for you, but then you have to do the dishes," that's peachy. If I say "Okay, I'll cook for you, but later I want you to mow my lawn," that's fine and dandy. If I say "Okay, I'll cook for you, but later you have to sleep with me," suddenly they start howling and shrieking because I'm evil, a demon, a monster and whatnot. Talk about risible, ludicrous bullshit...

I'm a simple gay woman. When I see Tamamusi, I clicked.

ME TOO!

I’m Bi, but i click just as fast too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Same as the person above

Yeah, that got me too. :P

For the people with sound mind and morals, you agree to sex because you desire it, not because they give you an ultimatum or in exchange for goods and services.

How nice of you to say I'm screwed in the head. I simply don't see anything wrong with what Kouhai did. I clearly won't convince you, so I won't even bother. Not that I'd care to after you insulted me.

That's the right attitude, Nevri. Ignore them. Don't pay attention to people with anti-sex agendas who come here to preach pious claptrap and insult other commenters. Don't feed the trolls, as the saying goes.

Also news flash, morality is not a objective thing. There is pretty much as much nuance to it as there is people.

Indeed. Bringing "morality" into the discussion is the last resort of a despairing sophist who has been pulverized on every other point.

The simple truth is, sex is not wrong. Asking someone -- a friend, an acquaintance, even a person you only met today -- to have sex with you is not wrong. Offering something to that person in exchange for sex is not wrong. Not wrong, just like that, period, full stop.

This whole thing reminds me of a scene I've seen in countless college-age campy movies where a girl who needs a place to sleep goes to the door of some guy she knows and asks to spend the night there, to which he replies that it's ok if she agrees to have sex with him. At that point she says yes (and naughty fun ensues) or she says no and goes ask someone else. Just that easy. Nobody forces nobody, everyone make their own free choices. It's the same situation with our two girls here. Sempai can say yes or can say no. Her choice is to say yes. Angry puritans should learn to show respect for a woman who makes her own decisions about her sex life and doesn't have a care for conservative tradition.

Whoever came up with the nickname "Virgins' Gym" sure has a discerning eye, haha.

I wasn't sure about it before, but these last 3 chapters make it plain and transparent: Moe has a crush the size of Honshu on Hikari. Dammit, Hikari is so-o-o lucky and doesn't even realize it! ARGH!

Oh, and on another note: that was such a sexy kiss between Risa and Aya!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 Too bad Aya is such a tsundere...

lol somehow the whole story is extremely funny and I literally snorted when MC asked herself "Why do I love trash like her?" Because it's Kodama Naoko, duh.

Eh, I thought the answer was "because of her hot bod, lovely face, shapely legs and mega huge boobs" but hey whatevs. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

At the beginning, Anna seemed to be a bit slow, but, in the end, she does realize what's going on with Yuuki.

It's too bad for Yuuki's bully cred, but Anna will be all smiles around her from now on.

I'm from South America (not Brazil but close) and can confirm that in Brazil there's a huge Japanese community. Between 1 and 2 millions, I've heard say it's the biggest out-of-Japan body of Japanese people in the world.

This is such a good manga. Such a multi-layered realistic story.

So blonde meganekko is aware of the other girl's feelings. And of the other girl's doings as well. And she is even aware that only a girl with a dark, sinister, obsessive side would act like that! And she doesn't find it attractive at all!

But at the same time she feels kind of good about that. She doesn't like it (cuz it's dark, slimy, etc.) but she also likes it (cuz it makes her feel superior to the other girl). It's rare that a mangaka goes the extra inch to make her characters' reactions so complicated and true to life.

Most of the stories I read lately seem to aim for the "simple" and "happy" feel. Girl A likes girl B, and, surprise, girl B always liked her too! Girl A is rejected by girl B but keeps chasing after her until girl B realizes how cute and adorbz she is and accepts her feelings! Girl A agrees to have sex with girl B just to humor her, and finds that it's ten times better than het sex, so they become a couple -- happy end! Next to these, I Hate Things Like Love is really refreshing. It's not every day that we get to read a story where the characters are so complex, just like real people! Two thumbs up to the author! d^_^b

This should end with a kiss or something...

Homer needs only one brief sentence to tell us all we need to know about Protesilaus, what kind of man he was and the circumstances of his death.

Honestly, I think any more info about those girls in Kurokawa's clique would have been TMI. They are three otaku chicks who decide to cut ties with Kurokawa when they see she's becoming a riajuu. That's all we have to know. I don't want or need any more data, and I'm grateful to the author for not wasting too much page space on their sorry asses.

"What? You want to kiss and have sex? But we have been HOLDING HANDS for the past month! A yuri couple doesn't need more than that... right?"

We totally need the gyaru from Useless Princesses to come and trim those eyebrows. Yup.

Yay, two more chapters of We Can't Draw Love! I'm so happy! Miyuu-san and Kano-chin are best couple! (Even though it looks like it will take time for Miyuu to realize it...)

Now all I need to be in cloud nine is another chapter of Neeko.

I know I probably shouldn't have, but I laughed at the sign at the top of the cliff. Like it's some famous suicide spot or something... Isn't it kind of depressing for those who just want to admire the view?

I was LMAO reading the discussion in the first pages.

"I keep getting negative comments about my story! What's wrong with dark netorare yuri with scores of men in it???"

I swear, the author must have been reading the threads in this forum, haha.

Just finished reading this oneshot, and I couldn't but think this:

Blondes get a lot of flak for being dumb (and, indeed, this one keeps being described as adorably incompetent all story long) but they're fucking Einsteins next to some brunette eggheads who can't take a fucking hint even if it slams them in the face at full speed.

But that’s just my two cents. ^.^

It's almost like Virgins' Empire after they graduate

This this this

And I am loving every minute of it

I'm glad I wasn't the only one. I got some serious Virgins' Empire vibes from this manga. The art, the characters, the way they look and interact with each other, all feels like a post-high-school VE.

But... WHERE'S THE ECCHI???

Virgins' Empire isn't just platonic love and girls making bedroom eyes at each other. There are tons of sexy developments, from breast fondling to ass spanking to erotic naked photography to D&S purei to kissing to almost orgasm with your lover on her bed to established love triangles and quadrangles complete with jealousy, cheating and whatnot.
In this series, we've seen 6 chapters already and I'm still waiting for someone to seduce someone. (And no, taking advantage of a passed-out drunk doesn't count, especially if it happens off-camera.)

Nanako is a single woman and a fan of Shirozuma's work. One day, she finds out that Shirozuma lives in the same apartment, so she visits her. However, to her surprise, Shirozuma is a girl with a messy apartment! So Nanako immediately starts to clean the apartment up. When Shirozuma asks her if she is single, Nanako, embarrassed, impulsively lies that she has a husband because the truth was too mortifying, that she helped out the mangaka because she fell in love with her at first sight. So in order to keep up the ruse, Nanako bought a fake ring and always mentions "her husband" whenever she feels that Shirozuma is getting too intimate with her.

That could work... but, with Nanako's looks, finding a high-quality husband should be the easiest thing in the world.

Therefore, to explain the fact that she's 29 and still single, you also need to posit that she is, like, totally gay and has zero interest in men.

(I have nothing against that development, of course. :P)

Wait, I thought kissing while one was asleep didn't cause a swap ? Now I'm confused.

She wasn't really asleep -- remember, she noticed something touching her lips. At most she was half-asleep.

This was such a nice surprise! Totally loved it! The mangaka really did a good job conveying the mood of the situations (and the feelings of the characters) through a flurry of little visual hints and details in every panel of the story. It's a style I really like ! That was masterfully done! d^.^b

And also: thumbs up to Akiba Detectives, the scanlators! I love when a Japanese manga with a college setting (read: sex, booze, clubs & parties) is translated this way, making the characters sound just like their Western counterparts would in a similar ambience. It's so funny! It had been a long time since I've last read one of those, hehe.

She was... what? A ghost?

Oh of course -- there's the GHOST tag. (facepalms)

I really need to learn to look at the tags first, read the story later.

Okay I give up. Some kind soul tell me what title you're talking about?

I wonder if they're talking about this...
https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/a_space_voyage_with_suwako_san#2

Hehe, that's right. That's the story I always remember when someone claims that you shouldn't go after a married woman because you cannot win against her hubby. Actually, you don't know, and you'll never know until you try. That's what Mikage learns, repeatedly, in this manga: every time she starts thinking to herself "I'm doomed, this won't work, she'll never say yes, I'll just get hurt..." she nevertheless goes and gives it a try. And it works. Just like that. All the way to the end when she and Suwako elope together.

This is a very Japanese way of thinking. In the West, most people are terrified of trying and failing, because they fear they will be mocked and branded as losers. In Japanese media, the prevalent message is: if you want something, go for it and do your best! If you fail, you'll have no regrets -- because, if you couldn't get it even after trying your best, it means that it was always beyond your reach. But if you give up without even trying, you'll live the rest of your life with bitter remorse -- wondering if perhaps you could have succeeded, if only you'd had the courage to try.

Aww it's nice to know that there are still people who appreciate DNA 2.

I'm the one who translated it to English, at a time when scanlation was an unknown thing. I translated chapter by chapter and posted the text files in the VGAI ML (which had actually become, in time, more like a "Anything by Masakazu Katsura" ML). People would download the scans of the original Japanese pages and read 'em holding a printed copy of my translations in hand. Oh the memories.

Seriously? Thank you for your hard work!! :D people like you made many teenage years happy years, DNA2 rocks, hahaha! And well, I was #TEAM AMI now and 4ever : )

Those were the times... we're talking about 21 or 22 years ago, when even finding a text translation of a manga was a godsend... at that time, if some guy had suggested taking the scans of a Japanese manga and editing and rewriting every single speech balloon in English, everyone would have thought he was raving crazy. Sigh, I feel my age.

I just went through my directories of old works and found my DNA 2 translations. How nostalgic... I didn't just translate the dialogues, I also described the settings, the characters, and the action for every page -- or, in the case of fast-paced fight scenes, for every panel. This was because some people in the ML had trouble getting the raw scans and depended on my posts as their only source of information. Here's an example, first page of volume one:

----------- p.7

(Momonari Junta, a slightly undersized teenage boy with an
incongrous spiky haircut, sits in the living room of Saeki Tomoko,
a gorgeous teenage girl. He nervously watches her reflection
in the mirror as she steps out of the shower...)

Junta: ("Female allergy." Thanks to this physical condition, for 16 years
I've been continuously ridiculed by girls. In my childhood, holding
a girl's hand would cause me to faint. If I was normal, this
delectable situation wouldn't be possible, but as for me, it's
just hell.)

Junta: (Uh, don't!! She's coming here.)

Tomoko: I hate the air conditioner, so in the summer, if I don't shower
4, 5 times a day, I'm just not comfortable.

Junta: (While bikinis and body contact make me dizzy, looking at
practically nude figures in the mirror is even worse.)

----------- x

I did this for every page in every volume. All 42 chapters. Past me sure had dedication.. I don't think I would have the energy to pull it off today... >_<

Two examples:
