Err, at what point did it become a fantasy? Is it just that one panel? Or was all /most of it in her head?

I'm big on Miho x Yukari but I thought I'd give it a try. The art and story are both well done - but I just can't see them as a couple or get invested/interested in the pairing at all..

Its weird - some characters, like say Marisa or Alice, or some of the muse cast, I can like in several different ships without issue- but then other characters- I just can't see them with anyone except one character..

I wonder what determines that? I think it might be down to reading first a specific story for a pairing that has a big impact on you.

Seems not - but they are dating. And The director is already renting rooms in advance in case she seduces her - so i'd say they are close to it lol - but it seems idol-chan is a bit too innocent and the director keeps putting off trying?

^^Lol - didn't notice it was Hakka-ya - I love all their Saki stuff - think I have every one that was ever translated. So they made slow start?

I had no idea who was behind slow start lol! Good to see them succeeding with an original manga! And it even getting animated! And no wonder they like Eiko x Sensei - they were/are huge obsessive fans of Hisa x Mihoko.

I hope they become as obsessed with Eiko x Sensei and take it as far as they like since it's their own work :)

^Dont think so? That one has 2 panels and is flipped where meme's tend to be more similar. Surely it is just a fairly common thing - in RL & anime/manga - to happily show off your gf or bf on your phone? Normally ofcourse it would be a guy showing off his gf - so you could say yuri is kinda subverting it.

Its ok for a girl to be happy & open about her gf in modern yuri - whereas in older yuri it was a lot more about hiding it- but it is still kinda a new way of doing yuri for Japan, so it might be a newish thing in yuri pics for 'showing off your gf' and been picked up by various artists recently.

^I know! But If Eiko can hook up with Kiyose-sensei then I'm ok with kamuri and Eiko just being close friends :) They were cute together - but not sexy and cute :) They had no heat between them like Eiko and Sensei do.

^Visually a bit, personality wise, again, just a bit :) Hisa is far 'cooler' and laid back / reserved, and far less mischievous.
Hisa likes to tease Mihoko but not like Eiko does! Eiko also has a more open and innocent side - you can tell she is 2 years younger too. I see why she reminds you of her though.

^This stuff here is not in the anime - tho there are 3-4 good/great interactions between these 2 in it :)

While this is official I dunno what it is - they are cannon if this is sketches from the manga I guess - but it might be just a fan service thing outside of cannon.

If you like simple slice of life comedy anime then you will enjoy it - with the added bonus yuri teasing / flirting & subtext.

If you hate that sorta anime there isn't enough yuri to make you like it beyond those bits. You can prolly find just the yuri bits on youtube if its not your kinda anime.

I did like most of the characters a fair bit too.

^ S1 ep5 & S2 ep6 - not sure on manga. To be fair it seems like the yuri manga are maybe just fuel for fantasies about Kyouko x Ayano rather than just bought for their own sake.. Still, she is buying yuri manga :)

@Pantshitter Gakuto Yes she is but she is also just a yuri fan girl - remember when they go to komiket, Chitose runs madly around looking at all the yuri comics then has a nosebleed and faints - and we see next year she goes off on her own to buy loads of yuri manga.. So I think she could be triggered to fantasize about any GxG pairing given the right impetus.

^Yup - a lot of anime that gets made is financed by magazines, its primary goal is to sell more of the magazine. Thus the only series up for choosing are those currently published in said magazine.

Also - Hana seems a bit off in that image - they don't seem to be emphasizing her angelic beauty - I assume the series is mostly a comedy - hard to be sure from 1 chapter - and I guess the anime will play up the comedy side even more, and not so much the loli crush.
