The way Hayate is looking at both Nanoha and Fate... She knows how obvious they are.

She's only been shipping them with each other since they were 9...

At first I thought Todoroki would be an alien who tries to fit into human society. (Doesn't know computers, has remarkable physical traits, learns social behavior from ecchi games)

I was actually waiting for that reveal, but the twist opportunity seems to have been missed. :-(

A blast from the past -- I have long forgotten who these characters even were, when this chapter notification reached my mailbox. :D

None the less, I'm making a public announcement. This is neither a promise nor a prediction, but in an effort to get myself to somehow find more time for this project, I am announcing my intent to attempt to get chapter 6 out in a month or so from now. It is a shocking chapter that's well worth the wait.

So much hype. :D Nonetheless, thank you for sticking with the series in spite of real life beating up on you. :-)

Why there is so few manga series on yuri robots?! And even fewer one shots?!

If anyone know any yuri robot series plz tell me! >.<

Have you checked out the Robot tag already? :-)

This is the first one-shot I have wanted to get a sequel this badly. :-(

We need more robot yuri... it's always so good

Quoted for truth.

I mean romantic/sexual attraction is basically just organic programming anyway. Animals are basically just poorly optimized self-propagating robots made out of meat.

Poorly optimized? Yeah, 'cause we see all these robots capable of surviving highly variable environments, finding their own fuel, doing their own maintenance, and reproducing. Animals are very well optimized, life is just very difficult.

More accurately, humans are perfectly optimized for a specific narrow band of environmental conditions, but don't tend to function nearly as well outside of this Goldilocks zone.

Already knowing what he is capable of from Gamma, this really did just seem like a "lol I wanna write the most overtop lolicon, rape, mind break yuri hentai today and let's see if it sells." He obviously didn't spend a lot of time to make the most amazing hentai ever and it was so full of hentai tropes, it's hard to take it seriously haha.

It'd be great if this was just an experiment in audacity, as you described. :-) My only fear is that if this hentai gig pays off and Ogino settles into this particular groove, we'll never see another Gamma, which I'd very much like to see... I'm just saying that I don't want another Sudoo Kaoru story (though Sudoo's case was compounded by health issues, which Ogino hopefully never experiences).

I still think people take what is essentially a fetish hentai manga a little bit too seriously though.

It was being published in a hentai magazine, it is ridden with hentai trope, the author didn't even try to make bullshit excuse for the relationship, overall everything is there is just to lead readers to the sex.

and

We're talking there about a one-shot that had nsfw rape lots of sex and lolicon. That frankly wasn't a combinaison that had much chance to lead to some deep story, no matter the author. I checked it myself because Ogino Jun's art, but never expected more than some smut focused on rape and that's pretty much what it delivered, as advertised.

I am not complaining about the manga itself -- in fact, it was very well-drawn for a hentai. I am rather lamenting the fact that its existence is a sign of Ogino's talent being spent on those tags you listed instead of on Action, Comedy, Superhero, and whatever else his crazy mind can come up with.

I guess what I'm saying is, there is a metric crapton of manga out there with all or most of the tags that TGIA has, but only two that have Superhero Yuri, and that's a damn shame.

Why would you read what is essentially a hentai doujin with 24 pages and expects stellar writing and a moving love story?

I think it's because the author Ogino Jun had set a pretty high bar with his first series, Gamma, which did indeed have some amazing writing and not one but two well-written love stories. This is the reason why some readers, including me, were/are hoping for another story from him that combines an interesting setting and quirky but believable characters with lots of over-the-top action, postmodern references, and plain ol' sexiness just as well as Gamma did. Unfortunately for us (i.e. for people who expected more of the same), Ogino's most recent works increasingly focused on the sexiness part -- in his very particular lolicon yuri way -- to the exclusion of everything else.

While it is the indisputable right of every author to pursue the topics in their fiction that they want to explore, rather than what their (non-paying) readers want, I am still a little disappointed by the direction Ogino has apparently taken since 2015. I do have hope, however, that he is just taking a sabbatical after what must have been a rather stressful first major project for him, before returning to and improving upon his earlier style and work.

For your first point the only ones that really comes to mind are Out of the Blue and Secret of the Princess.

Candy might also be a nice addition to that list.

Not sure if Ran from Strawberry Panic qualifies as a tomboy, but she's a girl-prince with short platinum-blonde hair, so there is that.

Also, Natsuneko has a fetish for black-haired girls dating blondes, so I'm sure at least one of her one-shots has what you seek.

"I hope Senpai doesn't think I lack common sense" Sayuri... sweetheart...

I think if Senpai and common sense occupied the same space for longer than a Planck time, they'd annihilate, in the process releasing so many high-energy photons, they'd immediately collapse into a black hole under their own gravity.

Notice how the part one is tagged Drama and part two is Comedy. Now, part three needs to be Romance to nail the perfect narrative arc...

I can relate to Yuu's excitement over cutting a tomato way too well. -__- The first time you succeed at something new that you have failed at for a while cannot really be compared to any other feeling.

whether their lesbian romances qualifies as yuri is up for debate

...
....
um...
...what?

....um.....Yeah what she said...

I really did not want to get into another ontological debate on this forum, but because two people have commented on it, I feel compelled to clarify. Since ShiroHika pointedly asked for a "game with yuri elements", and not for "games with lesbian romance", I simply pointed out that BioWare games are not interactive yuri manga and, despite unarguably featuring many forms of romance, barely employ the genre-specific tropes and conventions historically associated with the manga genre (like, for instance, many of the visual novels they also mentioned in their post do).

EDIT: Hmm, because I have posted in this thread again, I guess I should contribute something to the list, as well... How about A Dance With Rogues? It's a Neverwinter Nights mod and definitely not for anyone even remotely faint of heart, but the Princess' romance with Pia is one of the sweetest love stories I've ever seen in a game.

Dragon Age series.

Almost 95% of romance able characters are bi. And surprisingly they are good representation.

Rest are either straight or gay/lesbian.

Also story and gameplay is hella lot of fun.

While BW did take a lot of cues from Japanese RPGs, whether their lesbian romances qualifies as yuri is up for debate, which I will not be getting into here. More to the point, the "95%" estimation is slightly misleading: the hard numbers are that the first game has 1 bisexual female romance, the sequel has 2 bi girls, and the third game, 1 bi and 1 lesbian girl.

That was nice. Usually the drama tag kinda scares me a bit but the reading the comments helped with that.

The difference between enjoyable drama and the crappy one to me is whether the protagonist is rational and self-reflecting about the complications within her relationships. This manga's MC was just that, so it made the story a joy to read.

The Zärtlichkeit du Yuri as a native german this triggered me

What should it say?

Depending one the intended language, it can be written in four different ways. The way it stands, it is a mashup of of words from four different languages, English, German, French, and Japanese. With the second one being the most prominent, I understand how fellow German-speakers would be confused by it.

Series has been dropped by CXC due to the license. One more chapter that's already finished will be released, after that they won't release any more. https://cxcblog.wordpress.com/2017/01/07/2017-project-status/

Oh come on. It's like the fluffiest piece of yuri ever.

This is how it will go next chapter:
"That's what I thought... BUT THE TEST WAS REALLY HARD OMG KASE-SAN WHAT IF I DON'T GET IN AHHH!!!! "

some time passes

"I GOT THE ENVELOPE KASE-SAN I CAN'T OPEN IT YOU OPEN IT TELL ME WHAT IT SAYS AHHHH!!!"

kase-san opens the envelope

"You got in."

"WHAT OMG AHHHH!!!"

End chapter.

This. It needs to happen.
