Every time I wonder whether this series might be turned into an anime, another chapter comes out and snaps me out of it.

Any anime of this series would be so toned down as to lose all it's bite and fun.

I think there is a good point made about managing the amount of time you spend together as a couple versus on your own, but calling someone a cheater for their hobby is pretty fucking stupid, and also obviously toxic.

Like where the focus of the plot is about everyone trying to get with the MC of the harem and the narrative kinda disregards everyone else's character aside from their feelings for MC. I think the harem genre also has this vibe of a power imbalance.

That's exactly the vibe I'm getting here, though. Everyone is obsessed with this one woman. They don't care about the others at all, it's all about what Tsuzuki wants. The entire focus is on everyone's feelings for Tsuzuki. The only difference here is our MC is one of the harem members rather than the center, so we have a different perspective on it. Franky, I think if everyone in this story were gender swapped, or even worse if everyone but the MC were gender swapped thus removing any queer relationships at all, everyone would be calling Tsuzuki the scum of the earth, even if the dialogue was all basically the same.

It's a refreshing portrayal of polyamory.

What's the line between polyamory and someone just making a harem for themselves? I get that not every instance of polyamory has every participant in love with every other participant, but the name by definition implies a lot of LOVE. Here I'm just seeing a bunch of people in love with one woman and they kind of barely tolerate each other, mostly to sate that ONE woman.

I think the far more likely option is: mangaka goes "hmm, how to visually convey sickness easily? Ehhh, I'll just put a mask on them..."

Personally I support this. I think the manga is very interesting and sweet and I think the other users here would like it as well.

Wow, an honest to goodness "confession getting ruined by someone else interrupting" moment. That's SUCH a cliche you almost never see it anymore. I'm almost impressed.

The author drew the end card for episode 8 of Made in Abyss season 2 and even put Basier in it. I'm amused by the thought of more people discovering the series through it.

Man the reactions to this chapter have been so kneejerk and childish.

"Oh boo-hoo, I'm supposed to forgive because the vice president was bullied?"

No, they're the main villains. This is supposed to explain how they became the way they are. The vice president was in a pretty terrible situation and the president saved her from it. Then they got revenge. And decided to escalate from there. They are Satsuki's ideological opposite and this is supposed to explain to you how that happened.

"I'm not gonna read anymore until the Prez stops showing up!"

Well then prepare to skip the rest of the manga, because they are very obviously the main villains.

"I'm against killing, but some people are so evil they need to die!"

I find this one especially funny, because I'm willing to bet that's exactly the rationale the Prez and Vice Prez used when they started. That's how EVERY slippery slope starts. Satsuki's entire raison d'etre is that she WON'T kill, even through inaction, even if the person is vile. If she were to let that ideal go she'd be no better than the Prez, so there's absolutely no way that would be the way she'd let it end. That would mean he wins.

What makes you so sure they're spare panties?

I sort of got the impression she keeps a backup for her in case her exhibitionism goes too far and she needed an emergency pair.

So it's not always the last day, then? That's interesting. That suggests the criteria is not trying to get a specific thing to happen.But rather something is taking a large sample size and picking the best one.

Yuzu having drama about a character we've never met seems a little forced, but it was nice that Mei got to be supportive and interesting for once, so I'll take it. Ah yes, the yuri MC, who was introduced to the audience as an unlucky in love sadsack, but has, in fact, had an entire group of girls wanting to jump on her the whole time. Man this chapter introduced two of them, Itou and the childhood friend (almost assuredly). Also I'm beginning to suspect Nadeshiko's creator, while a total engineering genius, is also a complete moron. At least socially.

I know this is just me being negative but I'm kinda scared of how good and popular the reaction was with this manga, with just a few chapters with few pages and we're almost 10 pages in the forum.

It was bad when it was 10 pages, now we're at 54.
ngl I feel you, it's kind of irksome that so many amazing series only get a limited number of reactions while this with a few 4-page chapters of silliness boils such fervor. In ex. Lilies, Voice, Wear Wind at four whole volumes doesn't have even half the number.

I think you guys are forgetting the most extremely important fact about this manga: it’s weekly. Never underestimate the sheer power of something being constantly present. The vast majority of manga here are monthly so even the most popular ones, like “hino San no baka” are still going to only get that engagement once a month. This manga is here every week (give or take a few weeks off) so it’s always on people’s minds.
