When Aya was walking away with the pouty face, Jerkface saw her from the doorway I think. If Jerkface stays on this course he will earn an upgrade to 'Dude'/classmate in my mind. This chapter has improved his standing quite a bit just by being a normal person and not acting like a jerk like in chapters past. I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not.

You're probably right. I haven't checked guitar prices in 3X+ years (early 90s). I didn't remember Fender being that expensive even when brand new but that was back in the good ol' days when gas was less than $1 per gallon most places (in the U.S.) and My Space was about the only social media. God I feel old.

This was good. I enjoyed it immensely. The only downside (not really) was me waiting, waiting, waiting, for "YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!!!" I really liked that manga and the anime too.

Her uncle reminds me of a quote from one of my uncles who has passed (many years ago unfortunately) "Never underestimate us old(er) folks, we went through everything you have, survived it, and then did a crap ton more!"

I love the drawing style of this artist. My only qualm is if this should have a 'corruption' tag. the MC seems to be getting pulled, pushed, and enticed down a path she's not sure she wants to go down.

??? She's just unemployed? There's plenty of legitimate reasons someone might be unemployed. This is pretty excessively harsh on a girl we still know very little about.

She seems to have been unemployed for multiple years, though, and I think the more telling thing is that she was seemingly ungrateful and didn't bother doing chores even when living at Ruriko's place for free. Then she meets Ruriko again and literally the first thing she does is ask to freeload some more, even though Ruriko is now married. That is... not a good look, to be frank.

Yeah, honestly, I was less put off by her being jobless (although the unironic use of “funemployed” gave me pause), and more bothered by how completely indifferent she seems about the feelings of the people around her. I mean, yes, she was invited to sit with them, but as soon as she was she literally pushed Ruriko out of the way, insisted a Ruriko buy her stuff, and then asked the two of them to take her in. Then you have her complaining about how Ruriko would get mad at her for not doing something as basic as picking up after herself, seemingly unaware as to what she did wrong. She just came off as very self-centered, and it put me off.

That, and I just don’t like her character design. Maybe it’s the droopy eyes? I don’t know, it just doesn’t jive with me.

Wow, glad I'm not the only one. While I didn't like her character from the start, the unconcern for the feelings of others was very off-putting, since she's supposed to be a 'fun' character (that's my interpretation anyway). I also disliked how she avoided the question of her family. Her private details she has every right to keep private, until she tried to mooch off the couple. Now (to my mind), she has an obligation to explain herself and her full situation until they are satisfied if she wants to third wheel them in their house.

Makes sense since Time has a habit of slipping away.

She's attempting to confess her feelings (my supposition) but gets hung up on "I". Other girl knows what she's trying to say and turns it into a joke by continuing on with the rest of the (English) alphabet. Since they know each others feelings (even though they weren't clearly spoken), they celebrate.

Because Dynasty isn't a website dedicated solely to Yuri, even if that is the bulk of what is on here.

Also in this specific case, the author, Tatsubon, has earned (in my estimation) a Lifetime Yuri Achievement Award with the adorable and hilarious Tadokoro-san, and I'm interested in seeing whatever work they do.

Probably the wrong manga to look for different developments, this one is at its best when it embraces these tropes and then turns them up to 11.

I suppose, but then, some sort of "getting defeated, feeling down about it, then getting cheered up, going on a few chapters of training montage (including a bunch of innuendo on what they do between training sessions) and coming back stronger would also fit the kinda trope-y development blocks this story is build out of ;)

Well that'd be better than Komari trying to pull a DBZ move and striking a pose while screaming at the top of her lungs to somehow powering up to the next level of badassery. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The moment she saw that guy semi-collapsed, I thought "It's a guy. Must be a trap. Probably half-assed."

P.L.G. called it. Within 3-4 panels punk A only has half his @ss. That was oddly satisfying, and I'm not quite sure why.

They had frog bread, but I got real scared for a second that she would pull out elf bread too.

And in the next panel, Aerith should attempt to Kirby-Nom one of Tifa's breasts. Heck, I mean they are friends and all.

I hope this doesn't come off as snide, snarky, or jerkish in any way, but reading the comments for this chapter has been very uplifting for me since ALL of the comments above mine have been nice and kind and rather hopeful on the behalf of the characters. That has been a VERY nice way to enjoy the morning and is much appreciated by me. That might be slightly hypocritical of me considering my own comments about the male classmate's behavior in chapters past,but still this gets to be counted in the win column I'm thinking.
