If I were Maki, I think I might have a hard time not resenting Midori's child. I know that's terrible and the child is completely innocent. However the child would be a living reminder to Midori's betrayal.

I can understand that. As for myself, I don't think I could resent the child. I would have a hard time feeling anything for them---like, they're a totally foreign entity or something.

Okay, so I'm guessing she was in love with the neighbor girl and probably thought her feelings were at least a little reciprocated. But not only was that not the case, neighbor girl didn't even really like her. The fact that neighbor girl never talked to Ito after she graduated high school shows she didn't really care about her. So Ito not only found out her love was reciprocated, but also had her, "Don't meet your heroes" moment. Now she's finding herself in a similar situation with Sumika and is doing what she can to pull back.

I came to the same conclusion, she is unconsciously trying to keep Sumika away because she doesn't want to live through another heart-break like she did with onee-sama
the part about not giving "false" hope for those that admire her was probably because she heard a lot of those empty pleasantries from her onee-sama and took them to heart, that made the realization that she was not special to her all the more hurtful

LIke others said, it's way easier to give advice than it is to follow your own advice. Let's hope Midori and Maki can help Komari to be more honest with herself, I really like this manga for it's sensible and all to real subjects, but as a work of fiction I hope things work out well in the end since that is not very common in real life.

Everything you pointed out does make sense, my comment wasn't so much on Maki being obsessed with Midori, I though maki may end up hurt because even if midori frees herself from Tezune she might try to be "normal" again, even if it's quite clear that Midori likes Maki a lot.

I do hope their relationship works out tho.

lots of victim blaming going on around here too, but I guess most people can't imagine themselves in a situation you know it's wrong but you simply can't get away from, it's more common than most people think, some may even be living under abuse but still can't quite see it as such and blame others that are in a similar situation and call them "shit" or "weak".

That scene when her coworker said " but not Tazune right? He's nice" depicts something that is vert common, how some abuser can maintain a compleately nice facade for those outside, that confuses the hell out of the abused even more, thinking why she is the only one who thinks he's shit?

The fragility of hisnconfidence was a nice touch.

Let's hope things can improve for Midori, because if the author is going for realism, not many people manage to free themselves from such scumbags

I think she is the one responsible for calling Nika to the park, when ahe said her love ended I think she already accepted that. She went away for Nika to talk with Kurumi.
If Kyouko didn't tell Nika where to find Kurumi it would be difficult for them to meet right? Maybe she asked Kurumi's mom and Kyou will come back and we will have a big confrontation, but I guess we will habe to wait and see

Tbh Ayane, although initially coming across as mature because of her Kuudere vibe is actually pretty immature and world-strange, like Blastaar mentioned with the hamburger, but also remember her abandoning Sana-chan because she wanted to see the face she'd make, as well as her social awkwardness stemming from immaturity or well, lack of growth, in general, e.g. in regards to having friends etc.
Although Ayane might be the more experienced one in regards to a romantic relationship, I'd say that's where her "topness" ends. Although even in the sexual regard she isn't as top heavy, as she's constantly encouraging Sana-chan to engage and take a lead as well (which I find excruciatingly adorable) which brings Ayane down from a top to more of an intermediate position or at least once Sana becomes more more comfortable with handholding, in my opinion at least. Though this could evolve any which way towards the future.

That could be explained by Ayane simply mimicking what she expected to be the norm, her previous relationship obviously left some shit there so she acting strange or agressive could be related to that.

Or...you know....the author simply decided to write something different since there is no editor breathing down their neck
