To be honest, I kinda want to see SHAFT animate it... They're often pretty unique with animation as a medium, and I think their willingness to focus on slow-paced dialogue without feeling the need to make it bombastic and ridiculous would serve this series well.

SHAFT would ruin this show. Absolutely not. The show would come out too dark or they would exaggerate scenes that shouldn't be exaggerated. After seeing what WIT Studio did with "Koi wa Ameagari no You ni", I would love to see their take on this manga.

I like this manga - but one thing - You see quite often in anime/manga young kids living on their own (parents setting them up somewhere for school). These girls are in middle school - is that really a thing in Japan?

If it's not it seems weird to have some plot device that is unrealistic and if true, it seems irresponsible.

Here in the UK at least it would be totally illegal. At 14 you can leave a kid alone overnight - if they are not at any risk (i.e depends on assessment of your kids maturity). But say you naffed off on holiday for a week or 2 and left them with food and money at home with no adult- you'd get back to probably find the police waiting and your kids in custody! Let alone dumping them in some house alone in another city!

Just makes me wonder if Japan has much laxer laws in some areas of child welfare, or if it is just a manga trope thing to avoid drawing the rest of the family, or to provide an always empty house where they can do whatever they like etc.

This isn't an anime trope. It's incredibly common for kids to be on their own in Japan.

It's also not too uncommon for high schoolers to live on their own.

The nosebleed thing seems like a weird Japanese urban legend/joke more than anything else because I've never seen this concept anywhere outside of gag manga.

It's a visual metaphor for blood flowing to your lower regions. For guys that's an erection and for girls that's engorging blood into the various locations it goes.

I could be wrong, but I believe it's a visual metaphor for ejaculation.

Nope. See above.

It was originally done as a visual way to show arousal without actually being lewd (because Japan has so many restrictions on that) and showing erections etc.

Can someone give me the link to the raws, please :)

Try this http://www.dm5.com/manhua-shuangjiaoguanji/

That's not the raws. That's a Chinese translation of it.

I for one have been enjoying the developments in the series so far. I want to see their relationship develop further with maybe even a kiss on the lips? Either way these two are adorable. I want more chapters with just the two of them. I've bought all 4 Japanese manga volumes so far.

Can people not overreact to loli stuff? It's getting really tiresome having one line stupid comments from prudish people on every single loli book. If you don't like it then don't read it.

Why are more people hating on the dude than liking the yuri? There's plenty of guys here who like yuri too, let's please not get sexist. Guys aren't evil for being guys.

This was really cute, they look like a great couple.

It's a shame that those laws aren't really doing much, whatever that may be... I mean, say what you will about CENSORSHIP and whatnot, but I don't think any country wants to be known as a haven for pedophiles, even if the targets of their twisted lust are entirely fictional and even if complaints from Westerners really don't have much of an effect. It still sure doesn't present a great image to the rest of the world... certain people (like one in this thread...) notwithstanding. Oooor maybe Japan just doesn't care and is trying to sweep it under the rug... I don't know much about this topic, but it sure seems like an Asian thing to do.

I think people should re-examine one of the core facets of this manga we're reading. Namely that Mimika is a pedophile and successfully deals with her obsessions despite that (as many reputable studies have shown, pedophilia is a relatively common orientation compared to the number of offenses). So cool it people.

I love this story. I hope to see more and I hope it stays good. Chapter 3 was the best so far. "Look at this! You can lift them up! Wow!" Komaki confirmed for being flat?

Is this normalizing paedophilia though? I don't know, I'm so lost right now. I'm not trying to cause flame, I just really don't know how to deal with this story ab loli... Please delete this if it causes any trouble.

I would have no problem if it did. At least as "normal" as S&M and all the other fetishes are.

I really don't want them to make the guy out to just be a cheating scumbag with no reason. Hopefully, if they do that, they give a really good reason for his cheating, like he was being blackmailed or something by that other woman.

How do I report a post to the mods?

The cousin is sexually abusing her, isn't he?

Why do people jump to this conclusion? I think a lot of people here have huge cases of misandry. Cool it with the sexism people. If the cousin was a woman and your reaction would've been any different please reexamine yourself.

OH MY GOD MOCHI STOP SPOILING ME SO MUCH
It's like Mochi saw the awful state of the world and decided to single handle make it better by the power of yuri

The World is in a fine state. Stop watching the news so much that likes to get views so only reports on bad/depressing things. The world is a big place.

Insignificant posted:

I agree. If they do the story would be more of hatred rather then love. Well in my case it's like that. Three sisters and three brothers, I'm the oldest...

The more and more I hear about other's relationships with siblings the more I realize that my siblings and I are outliers. I'm the oldest as well and have always gotten along extremely well with my sister. And while it's a bit different with our younger half-siblings due to being so much older than them and living in an entirely different state we've always gotten along great as well. Always confuses me to hear that others struggle to get along so much.

Similar situation here as well (though I'm a guy). Younger sister and younger brother (each 2 years apart) and we always get along great. Honestly I sometimes beat up on my brother and sister sometimes when I was a kid but I never remember getting into a shouting match with my siblings. I can't remember ever being truly angry at them or them truly angry at me.

too real

As a guy this applies to me too. I think everyone(most people) think of themselves this way even if it's not true. The key is to ignore that doubter inside you.

Just as a heads-up: Those wireless anti-ESD straps (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/515GrExse3L.jpg) are a damn joke. Don't trust them!

That's incorrect. Also you're not showing the full thing. There is strap that connects to the wristband that then connects to the work surface. On the work surface then is the thing you're working on so that you and the thing you're working are at the same voltage.

And yes they're very important if you're working with things that are sensitive.

I couldn't get past the fact that the mangaka doesn't seem to understand how static electricity works... You can't get bands that will do anything. People don't just randomly constantly build up static electricity.

I mean if we just think of it as "magic electricity" then sure it works but wish they hadn't tried to use physics they don't understand.

I wasn't even the person who said that. Why are you calling me out over it? If you're going to keep up that harassment, I am going to talk to a mod.

I'm not seeing harassment. I'm seeing two people filling a forum with needless bickering over fictional characters. Lay off, please. No one cares about what you two are arguing about.

Personally, as a programmer myself, I've never disliked Naru and I've felt many of the same panics and worries she feels and have thought about doing several of the bad things she's done. I empathize with her strongly. Both Nenecchi and Naru both have had periods of Imposter Syndrome multiple times in this series (and several other characters), which is very relatable.

And with Nene joining the company, shows another possible side of bullshit from the gaming industry, and that is if you know someone in a company you are more likely to get the job, now obviously Nene is skilled, but I just wanted bring up the fact that if you don't have a good network in the industry, you will have a harder time getting highered.

But with Nene now joined, it at least means she won't fade into the background.

Also hoping Nene gets some good subtext with Aoba, yeah I prefer Aoba with Nene, fight me Nene/Hifumi shippers. jk

That's not a bad thing that's a good thing. This is exactly the case in the software industry at large as well. If I recommend someone into my company I get a $3000 bonus if they get hired. Companies really value people who know other workers as it allows them to buy down the risk of the new hire a lot.

Probably stepping into a minefield by saying this but going to mention it anyway.

I'm a huge fan of yuri manga and parings and all that stuff, however when it comes to real life I'm actually quite a bit more conservative. From my point of view I have zero issue with lesbian relationships themselves (I take a non-interference point of view) but when it comes to the topic of having children or even adopting I personally get a bit squeamish. I even don't like single parents raising kids (but it's often unpreventable). People often talk about the logic of the problem of raising a kid as a single parent and the effects on the child (because of the lack of two different genders influence). I personally fail to see the difference when you have two parents of the same gender.

This manga has been illuminating though to see first person accounts like this. FYI, I'm in a country that has legalized gay marriage. I still find some issues with it though.

It's impressive how much sense this didn't make.

Made perfect sense to me. It's like a combo of a waifu collecting game card game (Idolm@ster/kankolle/etc), Pokemon Go and a dating sim but set in reality. The screen presents you with options to score love points (see the meter on the screen) to raise your affection points. Presumably after you "win" the card/girl you get some power that we've yet to see yet. The fuzz-ball automatically installed an app on her phone for using it.

Oh and I trust you're aware of the way the modelling industry is in Japan, yes? Japanese readers will have an even easier time than me to make similar readings of Ririha's character.

There is modeling and there is modeling. Modeling for a clothing magazines happens the world over. You've never seen clothing story advertisement fliers that have children in them? Like seriously you're being utterly delusional. Reality or fiction what you're saying has no basis.
