@yoonie
It's rare seeing you take sumin's side lol
Hahaha, most of my comments are about Seju =))))), so its no wonder that its rare, lolll
tbh, I've never attacked any particular character before, Sungji is the first, lolll but after this chap, I kinda feel bad for Sumin alot after reading quite some comments, lollll. She has tried her best for the past 20 chaps to balance both girls, treating them the best she could offer. After this chap, however, readers mostly praised Sungji for what she did, and even blaming Sumin for not being able to decide and making Sungji sad and hurt like this, lollll. Poor Sumin, lolll, she is doing her best but she didnt get a lot of empathy from most readers, they are either Sungji or Seju. After this chap, it becomes too unfair for her when people pity and praise Sungji so much for her action to Sumin, and thinking its natural for Sumin to end up this way, lol.
Fun fact: I've read a lot of "Seju deserves better" or "Sungj deserves better", lolll, but come on, Sumin is the best for both of them, lollll

Sungji did take Sumin back and allow Seju to live in the house. I'm sure she did not do those things without hesitation. It seems like that was Sungji trying to salvage and rebuild her relationship with Sumin. Rebuilding trust takes time and communication AND dedication. In the month that she was still with Sumin, it may not have seemed to Sungji that things were getting better.
1 month Is pretty short, dont you think? To improve something called relationship for it to get better. So giving it up right now is a little bit too soon, dont you think? Especially when she already stuck around before even if she didnt need to.
That is EXACTLY what they should be doing. But the thing is, that neither of them understand the concept of healthy communication. Sumin thinks she can just apologize and then act like nothing ever happened and Sungji just doesn't say what she's thinking and goes with the flow even if she doesn't really like what's happening.
Then what are you trying to prove? You're proving her leave is commendable but without trying to communicate and she has already backed away and thought she cant do this.
That is not a commendable act, that is a coward act.
What? How can Sungji read her mind just from a sad look? Sumin doesn't mention that she attended the funeral and she never mentions that she told Seju goodbye for good? (Although, maybe we will get a flashback in the next couple chapters of more of their conversation like Nora said)
No, from all the things before, from the time when Seju was out of the house because of some stupid argument and Sungji had a phone call with Sumin => she knew that Sumin always cares for Seju even though she said otherwise.
On the bed talk from whatever chapter, Sumin said "I've cut all ties with her but I cant ignore her about this"
And about Seju with Sumin ended things already. Pretty easy, right? Sumin is on a date with Sungji while Seju just buried her father. Sumin is with her, instead of being with Seju at the moment.
If I were Sungji, I could've already guessed Sumin is ignoring Seju because of me, to the very least
I agree, that's a very rational decision. But you know, then the story would be too easy XD
Yeah, but running away without trying to talk and you're proving her act is commendable. If that is a commendable decision, then it should be a rational decision, too.
You said this is a rational decision so what about yours?

I can't name one good communicator in this entire Manhwa lol.
Hmm.... the man who likes sungji?
When he likes sungji, he try to approach her in obvious way and said his intention. After turned down by her, he said he won't bitching and he did.
If my memory isn't wrong, he always do what he said. when he is curious about sungji and sumin relationship, he confirmed it with sungji?
But because of that he is just a side character without any interesting plot left, just a tool for filler.
You should name Dawoon or maybe even Nammi but Dawoon especially fits that category XDDDDD. Dawoon is pretty good with words and expressing herself

Nah, she will leave Seju, I dont see why Seju's father dying could make her stay by Seju's side when there is Sungji. She will leave, I know that and I understand that.
yes.. and I like it like that, no lame excuses.
I get what you're trying to say but I'm talking about timing. You want her back in full with love, not excuses, I understand that. What I'm saying is I resented the timing XDDDDDD
I had a feeling that Sumin wanted to open the matter in ch80 as she was playing with Sungji's fingers at the cafe. btw, the ring matter appeared the second following chapter (but the in day in the Manhwa ch82). Did you mean why Sungji didn't wear her's or Sumin not wearing her's ?
Sungji put it on her desk in ch62 (the very end of it).. and don't ask me why Sumin didn't wear her's or is it now XD.
Yeah, my question is why they dont wear the ring when both of them are keeping their respective ring and especially when both of them knew each other had the ring with them. Pretty weird, dont you think?
Sumin probably still think that Sungji lost her ring, that's why she dont wear hers XDDDD
I got this irony.. I was talking about another perspective.
Yeah, but it's kinda obvious so I dont have anything to talk about it, Seju is always there in Sumin's heart. She cant love someone fully when she cant let go of her completely.

on Sungji leaving Sumin without a word.
we don't know for sure if Sungji said a thing or not. Ch87 ended up with Sumin stuttering.. but only in ch88 we got to see what she said to Sungji through a flashback (or let's call it an inner thought).
There is a possibility that Sungji said something, but TG decided to end the chapter this way because of the time constraints that Gaji has and the drama build up. Sungji's mind is the last and most important game changer.. we never heard her for a reason. So, what I was trying to say is: it is too early to judge whether it is a right move or wrong.. graceful or shameful.
I've always given Sungji the benefit of the doubt about whether she thought of Sumin's feelings or not when she decided, but if this is how it happened then there is no excuse for Sungji
The talk should be happened in the coffee shop right? Right after she said ".... being taken advantage of". Not on the street, since the scene on the street is pretty consistent, by the hand holding, the letting go of the hand, the turning around by Sumin.
So hypothetically, basically they talked over coffee, and judging from Sumin's action of holding hand on the street, Sumin makes it clear where she stands on that matter, she wants Sungji to stay but Sungji still left?
How is that making Sungji look better with her decision?
The only scenario that could save Sungji is she hasnt left yet, lol, she let go of the hand and gave her the ring but still standing right in front of Sumin to talk and tbh, that's how I'm expecting to happen, xDDDDD, not flashback or inner thoughts XDDDDD.
the cat is finally out of the box xDDDD

Hypothetically speaking, if your girlfriend cheated on you with her Ex and then moved in with that Ex (plus all the other shenanigans that went on). I mean, just seeing the person that your gf cheated with next to your gf is painful. It can be something that brings back all the bad memories and feelings. Even when the rational part of your brain tells you that nothing is going on, the other part of your brain is imagining every worst case scenario.
Sungji was the one who accepted Sumin back adter the cheating
Sungji was the one who accepted Seju to live in Sumin's house.
So what is this about "Hypothetically speaking, if your girlfriend cheated on you with her Ex and then moved in with that Ex (plus all the other shenanigans that went on)"? She is the one who lets it happen.
That by itself is hard. You can forgive, but it takes a lot of COMMUNICATION (which Sumin and Sungji do not have) and dedication to the relationship to truly work things out. I feel like Sumin and Sungji sort of just got back together in chapter like 70-something. 20 chapters (which was like a month or two) is not enough time for them to rebuild. So I'd say their relationship is a bit more than "rocky". it's insecure and unsteady. Neither of them are communicating their thoughts and needs.
Then talk about it, work on it, not giving up too soon. Its only one month in manhwa time, lol.
Sticking around and enduring the pain and distrust caused by your partner sounds noble, but in the end it's not healthy. Sungji is a great person. She is very patient. She knows that everyone has their secrets and their personal struggles. She has never forced Sumin to tell her anything she wasn't comfortable with. But at some point, a person with a healthy sense of self and self respect will have to let go. That's why if Sungji did it for herself, I still think it's commendable.
Then its time for her to force Sumin to say sth or do sth for Sungji herself, not giving up for Sungji herself.
Of course, you're probably right. She probably did it for Sumin and not for herself. But if she DID do it for herself, then kudos to her.
I'm no Sungji fan myself but from what I perceive from Sungji's character, I would be very very surprised if she did this for herself
It might just be the translation for now, but Sumin never really made it clear about the finality of that goodbye she said to Seju. Sumin attended the funeral and Sungji had to overhear it at work since Sumin didn't mention it. It's easy to see why Sungji may not feel like she has a place in Sumin's life. She may feel like she's intruding or making Sumin abandon someone important to her.
Another failure to communicate may have stirred this misunderstanding in Sungji. Sumin isn't explaining anything, she's just trying to go back to the way things were and act like nothing ever happenend
Its pretty clear at the moment of the coffee date, btw, when Sumin looks so down hearing the talk about Seju.
Sungji understands and she knows.
I mean, from Sungji's perspective, she is probably thinks that's going to help. She may believe that her being around and holding onto Sumin is causing Sumin's heart to be torn in two. When Sungji and Sumin got together, Sumin looked like she was doing just fine (even though we, as the readers, know otherwise). Now she's jobless, "abandoned" an important person and she's looking sad all the time. Sungji may not realize that this is a new start for Sumin and a part of her healing process. Sungji is young and couldn't begin to understand Sumin's feelings (especially since Sumin won't communicate with her and vice versa)
Then talk about it and try to understand, just like how Sungji did with Seju, not run away.

But seriously though, my sincere question, some of you guys are Sumin fans after all
Sumin just abandoned her 10 year ex gf who she has always felt guilty at, who she has always cared for, just right after her father's funeral, when she is the only one that gf has left. She goes against her emotions and care to do all that for Sungji but ended up being left behind by Sungji in the middle of crowd, under the firework without a word. This is what she gets for doing all that for Sungji. Dont you guys feel sorry for her at all? Do you think its fair for her?
Or you really think she should really need to put her into her ultimate desperate misery, in her deep sadness and force her to choose between both of them? To force her to run to one of them in her misery and sadness?
For someone who loves Sumin, I dont get why you think Sungji's doing is sth you love.

I know that, this line She's accepted that she might just not have a place in Sumin's life right now. gives you away, LOLL, a teamblonde fan would never say that, LOL
eh...I am a Sungji fan and I would say that XDDDD
xDDDD then its pretty sad for Sungji xDDDDD, cause as a fan, you cant realize the fact that Sungji is a very important part in Sumin's life xDDDDD, in fact she is her numer one priority at the moment. Just like I like Seju and I know for sure, 100% sure, in Sumin's heart, there is always Seju in there XDDDDDD

Oh, but don't get me wrong, y'all. I'm die-hard Team Pink. I didn't even like Sungji until the last couple chapters XDD

Before I answer you, gotta say I LOL so hard at all the comments after with the difference.
Winter is coming. Big fight is coming, LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
So I guess all Sungji's supporters think her action is tolerable XDDDDDDDD.
But I do recommend you to read sia ue's comment, it's short but it contains it all xDDDDD. I dont know about Sungji's reason just yet but Sungji's intention is pretty clear xDDDDD. She wants to free Sumin from herself, she does this for Sumin, not for herself, just question that if that decision is made after considering Sumin's feeling or not, LOL.
the relationship she was in was causing her more grief than happiness and ended things. That's worthy of praise by itself! It's not always easy to walk away from someone you love/loved! (Look at Sumin and Seju, they can't end their relationship after 10 years lol.). She doesn't need to explain because Sumin and Sungji's relationship has been on the rocks for the past like 15 chapters!
If when she made this decision and she only thought of herself and how her relationship is so painful and rocky then I have nothing to say, LOL, this decision is totally not commendable at all after all of her commendable actions from the beginning of the story till before this chap, aka taking care of Sumin and sticking around with her even though Sumin has hurt her.
If giving up because the relationship is too hard or rocky then she couldn't even compare herself with Seju who endures it all for her love
Sungji I know is more than that, you know xDDDD
I feel like Sungji has done quite a bit of considering Sumin's feelings. It's been clear to Sungji that Sumin's heart is not completely with her. Although Sumin says she's only worried about Sungji, it's obvious where her mind really is.
She says that line about being taken advantage of as if she's accepted it already. She's accepted that she might just not have a place in Sumin's life right now.
She does have a place in Sumin's life. What do you think why Sumin abandon her long ex-gf when her father just died to be with Sungji for?
She leaves Sumin without giving her a reason (Sumin really doesn't need a reason, I'm sure she already knows). If Sungji gave Sumin a reason, Sumin might just go back to feeling guilty about wanting Sungji but also feeling like she needs to care for Seju. Trying to do both is just hurting everyone. There's a grace in the way she left Sumin.
How can Sumin know? Please think of Sumin's perspective at that moment. She literally abandon her long life ex gf, who she also feels guilty with and wanted to take care of alot. For what? For SUNGJI. However the girl literally leaves her right there without even an explanation right after. Do you think its fair for Sumin and think she will know?
Sungji says, "I won't let the person I love get hurt anymore." I love that line by her! Very brave of her. Just because she stays with Sumin, doesn't mean Sumin won't get hurt anymore. This may hurt Sumin, but in the long run it might help her. Ripping off a band-aid in one go HURTS, but it's better than prolonging the pain.
Never said I dont love that line of her but after that line, you should do sth to prove that, not doing the opposite. Do you think Sungji leave will double the pain Sumin has and killing all of her will or reducing it?

I actually love this.. I don't want in any case to see Sumin being with Seju just because the daddy died, otherwise we will be in the the circle Sumin had before ch50. (I am talking about lame excuses on why she kept appearing in Seju's house after she came back from the main house.. and then this! -oh I am with her because the father died- If Sumin was to go to Seju, I hope it will be for honest clear reasons)
Nah, she will leave Seju, I dont see why Seju's father dying could make her stay by Seju's side when there is Sungji. She will leave, I know that and I understand that.
Just feel a little bit resented that she leaves Seju right after the funeral, knowing she is the only one Seju has left XDDDD.
I guess Sumin knew that Seju had the ring in ch55.. she was talking about that in ch82.. and probably she knew that Sungji has her's.. Sumin didn't mean that Seju still has it.. but that she took it at some point. (the real story was never told to Sumin and how exactly it ended up with Seju)
I dont think she knew Sungji was having the ring. If she knew, they could've continued wearing it already or she could've asked about it at least once, both were keeping their respective ring after all, what's wrong with wearing it? xDDDDD
In fact, Sumin knew that she will never be able to love anyone earnestly.. not even in ch88 (left over love) like what Seju would call it. There is always a place for her in Sumin's heart. And, I remember how extremely panicked she looked like in ch78 when she could not find Seju immediately or even in ch76.
Nah, the irony I'm talking about is how she wants to find someone for her to love to the point where she'll die if the person leaves, while she already has a person who loves her just that much. She just doesnt want to do anything with that person anymore also because "its not good to live miserably like that, loving someone to the point of doing anything for her", Sumin's words in chap 74.
Such an irony.

I think you're always tied to your first love at some level.
I just said "some level" as I'm not sure entirely at which level they are tied. Definitely not at a level where Sumin can just move on easily.
Not a level where she can go back to Seju just like that either.
But enough to make her forever tie to Seju
yoonie
I'd say it was a commendable act either way. The face she gives Sumin in the end of chapter 90 when Sumin snaps back into their conversation just looks understanding. She sees right through Sumin but has accepted. She doesn't look like she hates Sumin, but she does look sort of sad, too.
She could have made a scene or made it dramatic, but if she did that, Sumin would fight for her and it would just be more painful for the both of them. Sunji realized what she needed to do to keep herself happy. (And make sure Sumin doesn't have to try choose her over Seju anymore)
No, it will not be commendable the other way which is not "Sumin loves Seju more", why? Because of her famous line that makes her become someone everyone loves "I will not let the person I love get hurt anymore"
This sentence was said but if she chooses to leave only because she pities Seju or because Seju needs Sumin atm, this is just a very very nonsense decision from her because she doesnt consider Sumin's feelings on this matter and how much hurt she gives Sumin when she leaves without reasons.
So no, the other reason is not commendable.
In order for Sumin to truly know where her heart lies she needs to be free from both Seju and Sungji. A possibility is that Sungji realises this which is why she leaves at the end of the chapter. Seeing Sumins reaction to the gossip behind her reminds Sungji that Sumin is still tied to Seju at some level.
If this is the case then I dont find why it's so hard for her to tell Sumin face to face instead of running away like a coward and totally left Sumin in the dark.
However, if her reason is she realizes Sumin loves Seju more than her and she bravely admits defeat according to her character's nice personality, it still can be called a commendable act.
Then she should have bravely said that to Sumin like how Dawoon's ex said to Dawoon.
I've already said that the way she chooses to leave is really worth criticizing. I'm talking about the reason she chooses to leave. The reason and the way are two things. Her whole action by both the reason and the way is really not sth I applaud, I agree but if the reason is commendable, I'll still say the reason is commendable. The way she chooses to leave, I have nothing to say, it's a disaster, LOLLL.
Or she realizes that she has won. But because of choosing her, Sumin is going to have the biggest regret in life for not being by Seju's side during the time Seju needs her the most. In this case, she should have tried to endure the pain to be by Sumin's side and let Sumin take care of Seju.
Her leaving will hurt the person she loves, which contradicts to what she said. How is that commendable?
This is some other reasons (other than realizing Sumin loves Seju more) I told you that it totally makes her leave completely not commendable.
This reason is totally not commendable, I agree.
last edited at Aug 20, 2017 9:31PM
It's an angelic action, no doubt, but the author fails to make it commendable.
Hmmm, its still too soon to say its not a commendable act for just a little bit without hearing her reason, tbh.
I deeply criticize the way she chooses to leave, so dramatic and unnecessary but why she chooses to leave is sth else
If the reason she chooses to leave is she indeed solely just pities Seju and fails to consider Sumin's feeling on this matter or some other similar reasons then its really a big LOOLLL.
However, if her reason is she realizes Sumin loves Seju more than her and she bravely admits defeat according to her character's nice personality, it still can be called a commendable act.

Is there a Sungji's fan here?
For what? To counter back about what some of us have said about Sungji this chap? LOLLL
Big fight coming, sound no fun, lolllll
Edit: since no one could stand up for her in this thread. You go ahead, sia ue, lol.

Next chapter, Seju dies.
Maybe Sumin as well.
Sumin(chap 55):" I want to love earnestly"
"To let go of someone's hand, and feel like I'm falling off a cliff"
"To treasure someone so much, I'll die if I lose them."
How ironic, isnt it what Seju has just also said last chap about sumin, lolllll.
last edited at Aug 20, 2017 4:32AM
Well, it might be. Honestly I am still skeptical with seju x sumin ending, knowing how popular team blonde is... and the fact that:
1. sumin has choose sungji over seju before
2. seju in a stage of moving on.
3. Ch 86 seems like a fan service for team pink because the ending couple will be team blonde.
Nah, that part of my comment is a sarcasm for an angel act from Sungji but actually is sth I consider the worst action from her since the beginning of the story, lollll. There is nothing worst than left your lover hanging without saying a word or at least give them a reason before leaving, especially left the lover in the middle of the crowd, under firework of some happy event
I understand the action though and the good intention behind it, I just dont find it as amazing as many people put it, LOL.
As for ending, both ending are still available, till the day we get to listen to Sungji's reasons xDDDDD
The scene of sumin walk in this chapter and you can do anything to me.... Somehow I have seen this pose in GG Taeyeon before. Lol
You seem to be really obsessed with GG Taeyeon's resemblance with Sumin xDDDDD
last edited at Aug 20, 2017 1:46AM
But btw, dont you guys realize that Sumin owe Seju another apology after this chap? She accused Seju of taking Sungji's ring after all and this chap, Sungji has given the ring back to her by herself, LOLLLL.
Another time for Sumin to realize she has done wrong to Seju once again, LOLLL
@yoonie I've been itching for a lot more clearness from the chapters. But yeah, everything's still up in the air if you consider both endings(that is a Seju/Sumin and Sungji Sumin). It's driving me nuts. I've been trying to keep myself from talking about it what with the remaining chapters and just read the manhwa. Right now, I'm looking at the brightside, Sumin finally has the ball now. Like, which one will she ultimately chase next? there were always screws loose with both sides so I'm still waiting for them to be resolved. I think I've been waiting for Sumin to really be confronted with everything and make the decision.
XDDDDD, Sumin has never had a ball (literally, LOL, she only uses her hands, LOLLLLL). She cant decide which girl xDDDDD.
I kinda resented the fact that she has left Seju right after the funeral a little bit while knowing Seju only has her left. Dont get me wrong, I know this is sth she should do but still.. XDDDDD
Tbh, I dont know the reason why Sungji chose to left just yet, so I cant tell much but the only reason that makes sense for her leaving atm is Sungji realizes Sumin doesnt love her as much as she loves Seju because of the development of the story.
Other reasons are all nonsense and bad written script because, after all Sungji has said to Seju, "the person I love no longer gets hurt", then what Sumin showers her with love and care, her choosing to leave because of Seju or anything else is totally LOLLL.
But I'll accept any kind of reasons from her next chap though, I just feel her way of leaving, to others, is so noble and nice and selfless while to me, its stupid and useless, just makes things more complicated than it should be and making Sumin's life more miserable.

I dont want to look like an idiot if it turns out to be not true, that's why I dont spill it, lolllll
you are taking it more seriously than it should be.. a wrong expectation, so big deal! XD ..
This one I really hope is right, how cool is that for TG to draw an airport, I want to her drawing skill on this, LOLLL
No, I dont mean by he wants her dead, I mean by he wants her to be alive and by alive, I mean living with him forever and more. Being the only one for him.
That's why I said its crazy idea.
But this is just for fun idea =))))), I wont stick with it long, lolllit's either you started accepting JaimeXCersei's ship or the Nammi ship sunk so suddenly XDDD
Its not about shipping, its about his obsession over her xDDDDD, I dont ship this couple but obsession could do bad things to keep sth theirs, you know, loll

I notice, before wdtfs is finally comes to an end, you might have "101 ways of how to end wdtfs story" in your mind. Lol You're quiet imaginative
What can I say? They keep calling me out as someone who they dont know which side am I on for a reason xDDDDDDD

Btw sumin is so freaking cute in this chapter. This looks almost melt me. Phew.
https://imgur.com/gallery/967ZQ
Almost is never enough - Ariana Grande, LOLLL
I know she is nice, but not to the extent that she will give up the person she loves who also loves her back. I thought she would give up on sumin because either
1. She realizes she does not love sumin as much.
2. Sumin does not love her as much.
3. She is not okay with sumin still loving seju.
Her decision to leave may be influenced by some or all of above, but in this chapter the deciding factor seems to be seju's situation. My guess of what was on her mind: seju was attacked; seju had bad health; seju's father just died; seju's family situation is complicated; seju begged me to leave sumin (not forgive sumin); I have friends and family who love and support me; seju had no body; she needs team leader.P.S. sungji cannot tell sumin her reasoning; otherwise, sumin won't let her go.
XDDDDD, if this is her only reason, she should just let Sumin help Seju like "Team Leader nim, I think you should let CEO nim keep living with you, you should care for her, she needs you", aka accepting Seju's existance in their life, not mentioning about "living together",.... and not choosing to leave this dramatic, lollll.
And btw, with that reason, her action contradicts with what she has been saying to Seju "I wont let anyone hurt the person I love anymore", cause she will be the person who hurts Sumin the most with that reason. Cause she leave not because
- Sumin does not love her as much.
So in that case you said, she has done something that hurts Sumin to no end, lollll, especially with the way she chose to leave and how Sumin has told her the night before
She chose to leave this dramatically, without explanation, literally left Sumin hanging, there is only one reason to explain it, the author still wants this love line to continue, and not officially end, it opens the gate for this couple to be the ending game, a very convenient way, lolllll, if she cut it clean, well, we already know the ending couple. This, only makes this couple more relevant even though this looks like a break up by making Sungji look nicer and more noable, lolllllll
last edited at Aug 19, 2017 8:47PM
For all teamblonde fans, By the way, next chap, I expect Sumin to chase after Sungji xDDDDDD. Sungji wouldnt go far and can be reached if Sumin is fast enough. And dont worry, Sumin wouldnt go find Seju right away next chap, so dont be too devastated too soon xDDDDDDD
