I hope Based Neji never stops doing monster girl content.

When the anime aired the ending, I hated it with all my being, wanting a happy end for the both of them. Now that some time has passed, I've come to realize that there WAS no happy ending for Sato because she's beyond saving once she crossed the line and became a murderer.

However that's only for Sato, Shio's story on the other hand still hasn't ended and since she received both the pureness of Sato's love and the bitterness that came from losing her, hopefully, she grows up and becomes a better version of Sato, one who's properly equipped to deal with this author's universe (because lets face it their universe is not the same as ours, its only made of suffering and filled with awful people) without resorting to anything drastic like Sato did.

Also hopefully she finds her own yuri partner and have a proper Happy Sugar Life with them

Your salt aside, it's more that it's standard for Kamen Riders' powers to be created by the bad guys, and "the hero was actually playing into the bad guy's hand all along" really is a fairly standard twist.

It wouldn't be a proper tokusatsu tribute without the villains getting some "keikaku doori" smug-faces in and the idiot heroes going "nani??!". Fairly standard stuff tbh.

I was thinking the monologues were on point but then the salamander page came and hit like a fucking brick. This manga really knows how to portray bouts of crippling depression like a fucking champ

I loved how the author went meta and had the two maids discuss whether a happy ending or a bad ending is better. I'm always for happy endings, I don't care if they're "trite" or rushed, as long as the characters I came to care for lives "happily ever after".
