Actually, now that it's come to this, Akira might make a surprisingly strong addition to the story. I know people hate love triangles, but the biggest tension in Ayako and Asuka's potential relationship - okay, the second biggest tension in their potential relationship - is that Ayako may be looking at her daughter as a substitute for her husband, right? Asuka has half his DNA, etc. Well, if that's her motivation, then doesn't Akira serve that purpose much better than Asuka ever could? Not only does she share much of the husband's DNA, she shares Ayako's pain of having lost him, she's an adult, and, y'know, she's not her goddamn daughter. That's (usually) a bonus.

If Ayako wants a replacement, Akira is eminently the best person for the job in every way. If Ayako chooses Asuka anyway, then it'll be because of Asuka's unique qualities as an individual, and not because of her similarity to her father. Or it'll be because Ayako secretly has a massive incest fetish and just thinks it's totally hot to get it on with a family member, but shhhhhhh, never mind that.

This is a really great analysis of this development. Usually, introducing characters this late in a story is really bad, and still kinda is here because there was no foreshadowing to Akira's existence whatsoever. However, as you've said, her introduction is fortuitous and is the perfect dilemma we need at this stage of the narrative.

Personally, I hope it does end in incest. I mean, that's what the story is catering to and it would feel disingenuous if their relationship was thrown away for the late-entry college sister-in-law. Also, I don't know if Asuka could handle being a part of the family after having been accepted then later "dumped," for all intents and purposes.

This one's pretty fucking awesome. I love this kind of adult-life stuff that feels abrasive but not debilitatingly depressing (hello, Philosophia). Instant favorite. The two main girls are so lovely. Age-gap gives me life.

This? I was just about to mention Philosophia. That kind of ending should be illegal. So even though everyone's saying they don't want the yuri ending, I just can't agree. There's too much gay stuff with bad endings, and I'm done with them. This is just speaking personally, but I want a happy ending. At this point, I don't care who she ends up with, I just want Uta to be happy with someone.

@Entoma; just because it's canon doesn't mean it's logical. It makes no sense for the characters and was shoehorned in. Elsanna is the biggest pairing because they have the most chemistry.

Was I the only one put off by this? Like, yeah, it's hella dorbs, but when they started saying "this is your fault" I got super uncomfortable. I stopped to read the new Ayame 14 after the first time they said it to get over it. I get that they're in love and whatever, but without that explicit, conscious consent, it made me feel uneasy. I read a ton of non-con stuff in erotica/hentai, but it feels so far removed from reality so it doesn't even phase me (unless it's really bad, then I leave it). But yuri manga, just by being more romantic and less sexual, feel more grounded in reality to me so I have a hard time reading this type of stuff. Even though it's technically consensual here, it actually isn't. They're "sleeping" and they say "it's your fault."

This manga never disappoints. Ayame is the dirty old man that hides in all of us. She's just this coy little thing with the fucking filthiest thoughts ever, and she acts on them in "private." By age 20, she will have mastered the art of public masturbation. Something we all can aspire to, I'm sure.

Just wanted to say the "How can I love someone who loves something I hate" and "How can you say you hate something I lo-" part is brilliant.

The art's a little weird, and it's hard to tell characters apart, but I like it. I've been looking for a genuine monster girl yuri for so fucking long. All I find is vore and I'm sick of it. One happy monster girl yuri should not be this hard to find, and I don't mean subtext like Dowman Sayman and Shake O. This really feels like a dedicated yuri that happens to be monster girl and that's great. Just wish it wasn't a 4-koma. I really hate them.
