Third time reading through this and it's still good.

I mean, the content was crap. My heart always hurts at the part where Nozomi clings to the bitch girl after she was raped because damn... Just imagine the emotions she's feeling then. Betrayed by a childhood friend and maybe even betrayed by her body. I mean, shit.

But I loved how it was tackled. It was pretty unapologetic because it was written in the rapist's perspective. They will always have reasons for the actions and believe these reasons justify them, no matter how insane and selfish (as is indicated in the title) they are.

Anyway, I still love this author. I like this piece. And I appreciate the discussion around the issue.

Hana-chan seems like a cute addition to the crew. Definitely see Kase-san being jealous and possessive because of her, so I just hope the drama gets handled well. Maybe we can even tackle how possessive she can be sometimes?

So now, every time I see a new update my main feeling is disappointment over it not being a continuation, and it prevents me from appreciating what would otherwise be very enjoyable little snippets.

And I don't get why some people are saying this has no yuri. Like yeah, I get that it's really tame and super subtext-y, but do you all just want saliva swapping and scissoring in all your yuri?

Since we haven't seen male mermaids (mermen?) yet... I'd really like to see Betta make a bubble nest. Just feel like it'd be something fun to explore.

That's a pretty awful way to treat a friend. It's not Megumi's fault Asuka fell in love with her (though maybe she is a bit of a flirt).

As to what's the point, the first story was about Asuka's first love, and her realization that she's gay, and then her discovery that her first love is doomed. It was also a neat little story about subverting the reader's expectations - things aren't usually so convenient as these stories typically go.

The sequel is about how Asuka copes with her new feelings, and her implicit rejection. She could have become bitter, or desperate, or angry, but instead she accepts the fact that Megumi has someone else, and she accepts the fact that her love for Megumi won't fade away so quickly. I think it was a nice story.

This is exactly why I love this and the prequel. It's so painful, but is more relateable than most stories on this site. It was a great exploration of Asuka's sexuality, her doomed first love, and a tinge of hope that maybe she won't be quite hesitant in the future. It's also great to see that Megumi is in a happy relationship (with someone that's probably older than her and Age Gap is always a plus in my book)

This was so good. I'm just so happy to see actual freaking romance and not the will they, won't they crap.

Based on page 4, I'd guess they're at most cousins that looks identical to each other.

This was... surprisingly realistic. I like it.

The dynamic of the parents. Two girls discovering another side of themselves with each other. The lingering societal pressures. I'm kind of curious how they're going to get past that and get a happy ending.

And really, didn't even think that the character looked boyish until I read the comments here. Honestly the hate that butch and bisexual girls get on this website...
