Aww fuck. I'm gonna feel sad for the "third party" in this, aren't I? It kind of feels like the inevitable "can't lose my best friend who I actually seem to romantically love" or "my best friend that I like isn't gay so I'm settling for you" shtick. Hopefully this surprises me.
This was such a good anthology. I was putting chapters in my favourites until eventually all the chapters were in there. It surprised me how much I loved everything in this collection. Just beautiful, angsty, and ripe with everything I love in yuri manga.
I dunno how to feel about this Ice/Donut thing. Part of me still ships Ice with Ploy but meh. Still, it feels weird. I am still insanly attracted to Ice and she looks especially heavenly at that last page but I just feel like this is all too convenient. Mew goes away, Ice suddenly confesses... A shit storm awaits.
It's rare for me to find a story in Hirari that I like but this was a nice surprise. It's really cute watching the President fumble around, especially when it's made quite obvious to the reader that Umeno was the girl from the cafeteria. Love that we get to see playful sides of Umeno. That whole but about the pres preferring her with glasses was perf.
Gotta say, loving all of these "older" yuri mangas. High school girls kind of get boring after a while, especially if you're in college and dreaming about having the "promised time" to come. ;)
This series is so refreshing. Gah, I wish I there was another fighter fish at the school so that I could see a fight... Although that might not end well.
