Disappointing.. I was mislead because I thought there was gonna be Nao x Reika from the cover. Instead i got this weird crack pairing

I prefer Nao & Reika too, but just because there are a lot of doujinshi about them, I tried to watch some episode of Smile Precure before, but don't see any realate between Nao and Reika, they just like 2 strangers in a power ranger team, I even don't see they talk to each other alone, will their friendship be improved in the later episodes or their relationship is just something that the fan build up ?

I know nothing about the show, but my problem here lies on what is said on the dialogue between Miyuki and Reika. I might be too much of a purist (for the most part) when it comes to mangas were I cannot take in sex where the characters don't love each other or love someone else, that's just me.

Nao and Reika are often shipped with each other because they are childhood friends, and that's about it. When I first started watching Smile I was pretty excited to see what kind of yuri goodness would come out of their relationship since I had seen that they had a lot of doujinshi together, but I was disappointed to find that there was little between them in the actual show. Smile is one of the best PreCure shows for comedy, but in terms of yuri it's pretty weak.
However, the next show DokiDoki is full of subtext bordering on explicit.

This is code for "I have zero standards". "Yuri" itself can not be good or bad, if the writing is good the yuri good. Yuri is just a genre, it has no value, and you thinking it does just shows that you only judge something based on whether it has yuri in it or not. Even though you claim to care about the writing.
And yes. Crack pairings lead to out of character writing, such is the case here, which is bad. If the characters are not acting like themselves it defeats the purpose of the doujin parody itself. Unless of course you're just looking for characters that look physically similar, but that again leads back to having no standards.

I've actually read both, and I can say for a fact the NaoRei one is better. While this MiyukiRei is just pointless OOC sex the NaoRei is sweet.

Of course I'm probably just wasting my time typing this out because you'll just dismiss it as the paranoid ramblings of some angry guy over the internet. Arguing with shippers is one of the most pointless things in the world.

Didn't really enjoy this every pairing felt kinda distant and the author couldn't really bring forward the right amount of emotion to immerse me and it didn't bring forward anything else to make it enjoyable as a purely porn plot either.

To be fair every character in all of the stories are acting ooc as the "plot" is just a device to get the sex going. Altough personally the Miyuki x Reika didn't leave me with the worst case of oocitis, it just felt as the usual Miyuki pulling others along with what she does put in a porniverse.

What i attempted to say (pardon my crappy way of saying it) was that while the Miyuki x Reika pairing is not as likely as Nao x Reika (can't call it completely ooc people often don't end up with the person closest to them), with the way it is done here Miyuki feels quite in character but placed in a porn universe and they don't end as a coupling. She just gets caught up on something against better judgement.

So in short i'm trying to say it's not really a pairing it's just Miyuki being Miyuki in a porn world and Reika getting caught up in it.

And most ooc award definetly goes to raquel ;p

That's not what OOC means. If they end up with the person closest to them does not matter at all. How they act is what matters. Who you end up with it not part of your character, the reaction to the situations you are in is what makes your character. And Miyuki "porn 'verse like" is already out of character in the first place.

Mainly mentioned that as it was your main argument on why it they were acting ooc. If a character keeps her main traits and acts consistent with her character but in a different "setting" (probably wrong word) i wouldn't call it acting ooc.

Ok, said i wouldn't reply but as this has nothing to do with the story and just hopefully clearing up my way of expressing myself over the internet. But it has everything to do with the characters themselves, but you have to also take in regard how the initial character would act in the setting wherein it is placed.

... Duh? That's been my point along. And here they are nothing alike. Unless you mean "initial established" in the doujin itself, which would be completely pointless when trying to determine whether it is OOC or not.

that borderline NTR miyukixrei left a bad taste. damn yurism standards fell hard with this one. maybe a staff member who likes crack pairings pushed it through. it's their right to scanlate what they want but as a fan who donates this feels pretty shitty. whoever did this has a pretty shitty taste i must say.

Well I love this artwork but of course I prefer Nao x Reika . The art of the four artist was pretty Great. But it sucha waste to put Miyuki x Reika . The others thing is perfect. In this , I ship Davi x Makoto . But sadly it was short "
