Well, yup it was them :)
When I first read this, I didn't realize that spider lilies symbolize death and couldn't figure out why they were in the scene. Now that I know, I realize that it's obvious what happened to her first girlfriend before she explicitly says so.
A lovely ending to a sad story. The moral's been done before, but it fits both characters if you think about it, so it works.
Really happy to see 'sequel' tag.
yeah that's what I was gonna say, and she said "it takes me back" to what?! to the horrible ending?! at least this one didn't have a sad ending though
