Easy mistake tbh, I would have done the same. In French, it's a flûte à bec.
Ha, I remember wondering what in fucks name was a recorder, it's such a weird name for this instrument. Looking at its wikipedia page, it seems like in many other languages, it's called something similar to 'flute' too. Honest mistake on the translator's part, but no wonder tbh, English is such a weird language.
It's like this meme I saw about how everyone calls pineapples "ananas" or something similar and here you have English speakers with fucking "pineapple"
