But after searching the sites I previously frequent, I finally found it! =)

The manga name is Pieta by Haruno Nanae.

you could try the series sweet little devil, the flower and the star, wife and wife, yuri pop... actually, there's alot under the comedy tag, but you've got to read through to see which you like best... =)

If you want to introduce someone to yuri, shouldn't a series about girls falling for girls for the first time a good way to start? Like the series Resounding Echo? There's many more, but I can't seem to remember now. sigh
