After reading the translation, I loved this chapter even more!

I really appreciated Ji-hwan, all-chapter long. He seems so different from earlier chapters. And it looks like Seol-a is following Ji-hwan’s advice, good girl :3

You're all overreacting.

There was no romantic tension in that hug from anyone other than Ji-hwan. No-rae is the last person who would be indecisive or inconsistent on her feelings.

Even without dialogue, it's obvious her hugging Ji-hwan back was purely consolatory. Contrast it with her blushing in embarrassment just from Seol-a holding her hand (YES!!!)

Think of this as a blessing in disguise. The fact Seol-a saw the hug is going to give her a sense of urgency in confessing to No-rae so she can stake her claim on her woman. Without the hug, we probably don't get the hand-holding at the end of the chapter.

I personally think he's noticed Seol-a and No-rae developing feelings between each other for quite some time now. When he confessed, I think he was making a preemptive strike on No-rae in an attempt to beat Seol-a to the punch and hopefully confuse No-rae enough to get her to accept his offer or, maybe just plant that seed of doubt. Ji-hwan's a pretty astute man so I've suspected that he's known that Seol-a and No-rae were becoming attracted to each other romantically before both women realized what was happening themselves. But, I think he's accepted the fact that Seol-a and No-rae will become a couple at some point and that, he might even drop hints to both of them to get things moving as it's pretty clear (to me) he's moved on from No-rae.

I also think Jihwan will be the bridge between Seola and Norae, one way or another. Look at the history:

• Ch 7: Jihwan noticed Seola purposedly asked him to dropped her off further from her apartment just to catch Norae from the convenient store.
• Ch 12: Seola texted and asked Jihwan about Norae
• Ch 13: Jihwan noticed Seola's negative tension towards Norae
• Ch 17: Norae asked Jihwan about Seola on the beach
• Ch 19: Jihwan caught Seola and Norae ran off together before sunrise (lol)
• Ch 22: Jihwan caught a glimpse of Seola and Norae's "intimate" conversation.

I think he's unconsciously got motivated to confess to Norae right after because his unconscious fear for Seola as a competitor.

Also, I'd personally add to the list what follows: in ch. 26, right after No-rae's rejection, Ji-hwan's mind went directly to No-rae and Seol-a's reaction to the possibility of one of them going out with him.

Regarding your translation of ch. 43, I enjoyed the reference to the songs they were singing. "The Meaning of You" is a very sweet piece, it seems to me like a song somebody in love would sing to their significant other. Indeed, Seol-a singing it for No-rae while blushing, was so cute!

It's somewhat long (for Tumblr anyway). I may not agree with all of the theories/points, but I still found it to be an extremely interesting read. Makes ya think about all the what-if's.

I found poorconsumptivewretch's introspection in Seol-a's mind very interesting. I've never thought of Seol-a subconsciously overlapping No-rae and Yu-ji even in early chapters before. Of course, at that time we still didn't know anything about her past.

Another thai yuri manhwa.. I just happened to see this when i was looking at Lily Love raws. I wonder if this will get translated too.. I have seen the 2 chapters and it really looks interesting. I think what Seol-a meant when she felt that nothing much has changed is the fact that she still doesn't have the courage to be upfront about her fluttering feelings. Lol. She lacked the courage to confront Yu-ji about their issues before and now, she is lacking the courage to step forward towards her feelings with No-Rae. The Kyung-joo situation was more of an impulse rather than a calculated i-like-No-Rae-maybe-I-should-call-her-friend-so-I-can-follow-her-that's-not-stalking-right?

Random note:

A short while ago, FF fan art or FF fan content in general was very rare. And by rare, I mean nonexistent. That was just 5 months ago, back in March or so.

But in the past few months, the amount of FF fan art that pops up has increased exponentially. (I think though that the rate has decreased a bit in the past few weeks, which is understandable, given how far into the hiatus we are.)

Back then, it was more feasible to post fan art in this thread, and it made little sense to have a separate thread, seeing as it was a rather sporadic occurrence. Not so much anymore.

For now, given the hiatus, it is still OK, given that there isn't all that much activity in the thread anyway. But once the hiatus is over, and discussion picks up again (hopefully?), I think I will maybe make a separate thread for fan art.

It would make the discussion easier to read. Furthermore, those who are interested in fan art will find it in a single place rather than browse this gargantuan thread.
