Looking at that again, and thinking about all those other manga that use the same sort of phrasing, I wonder if "embarrassed" is actually taking things too literally. It may be that the original Japanese uses the word for "embarrassed", but I wonder if it's actually not meant in a more colloquial way given that it's almost always used to refer to being flushed, heated, blushing, etc. which obviously is arising from being in a sexual situation rather than conventional embarrassment.

Well, you're not wrong in that "hazukashii" has a kind of broader meaning than just simply "embarrassed", but the fact is this line is just 100% translated wrong. Like a vast majority of this release, to be frank.

The line in Japanese is
……あかん……はずかしすぎて　えりちの顔……見れへん……

which translates to something around the lines of
"...... No...... It's too embarrassing...... I can't look at Elichi's face......"
(I'd probably want to 'massage' this line a little in an actual release because it sounds pretty awkward, but I just woke up so /lazy)
