This author did quite a bit of creepypasta art. I never expected to see masky/hoodie art (from marble hornets) from a Japanese artist.

Did not expect to see this one here, but glad it is. I have yet to read Hasshaku-sama's story (because me am lazy), but I heard it's pretty spooky.

Ok, these characters look awesome, but the comments and tags have me a bit confused. Are they from something else?

^ I don't even know what you mean by "else", but Kuchisake-onna is a Urban Legend and Hasshaku-sama is a Creepypasta, so just like some people pair Sadako with Kayako, this artist had the [great] idea of pairing the former two.
Also, a bit more of trivia, Kuchisake-onna have 2 movies (at least), and Hasshaku-sama make a appearance in Fatal Frame 5.

Ghost Shogun Have you read it yet? I thought sure Hasshaku-sama is also an Urban Legend. I have come across some odd things regarding it... I’ve never heard of Kuchisake-onna or Kayako before now, though.

^ It's been years that I'm postponing that reading, so the situation remains unchanged. Now, people do tend to refer to her story as an Urban Legend, but setting aside any long comments about the difference between Urban Legends and Creepypastas, Hasshaku-sama's story originates from a "scary stories thread" on 2ch in 2008, hence why I consider it a Creepypasta.
Kuchisake-onna is a pretty old urban legend, and like I said even spawned (at least) 2 movies, so it's actually kinda surprising that you heard of Hasshaku-sama but never of Kuchisake-onna.
Kayako is the main ghost of the Ju-On movies, of which have an american remake called "The Grudge".
