The manga I'm the most hooked on right now. I've probably never gotten this hooked on a manga about youth. It gets especially interesting in the second half. Looks like all of you are supporting NemoKuro, but I like Ucchi and Mother of All Humanity a.k.a. Katou-san. This manga is really a work I want to discuss with people. I've read some observations on review sites and was surprised to find lots of things I completely failed to notice. They might have been woven in in a subliminal way even without getting noticed. The exceptionally detailed character pathways and human portrayals are god tier. Even though it's clearly fiction it's hard not to think there's a true story at its basis. As a result I'm seriously hooked. The next volume is apparently coming out in spring next year, but since there will likely be more of Mokocchi's normie life to be seen I can't help but look forward to it even now."

Ucchi is my favorite. I wish she could level up a bit more from stalker/joke character to more of an actual friend.

Watamote got so much better with the introduction of the harem. Im so proud of Kuro :’)

Hmmmm, it has yuri undertones. But no outright yuri if that’s what your asking. There is one character that has fallen in love with our dear Kuro, but it is one sided. The story is more about growing up past social anxieties and finding warmth in friendship and trust in an ever growing circle of wonderfully diverse personalities.

A girl gets a harem of cute girlfriends. Depends on how you look at it.

A second season wouldn't go that far. The show only covered 1/3 of the series. It might go up through the table-turning Kyoto school trip arc, which is where Ucchi is driven mad by Tomoko and becomes obsessed with her.
The anime does treat Tomoko's emerging relationship with senpai Imae Megumi, the angelic being who saved her soul through kindness.
The show is brilliantly done and the voice actress for Tomoko delivers an acting tour de force.

I didn't read the manga but nothing happened in anime. Comedy and op was good but I didn't get the ending she saw the senpai's panties and went all insane. I want to try reading manga it sounds good.

EVen in the anime Kuro is bisexual. In fact, she keeps telling herself she'll sleep with tons of boys to be popular after she perfects her look, but even in the anime she just pervs on girls. Where a normal girl would be happy a popular girl is so friendly to her? Tomoko immediately fixates on her panty area. So there is a yuri element or subtext.
