Does the game really have some Yuri? Maybe that way I can get to bring myself to play the campaign mode

@flenar, the main campaign doesn't really have much, but the $20 Octo-Expansion has some pretty gay vibes between both these two and Agent 8 and spoiler character.

@flenat Honestly I'd recommend anyone who enjoys Splatoon 2 to get OE. It has fantastic levels, great music, gives Off the Hook some much needed characterization, finally gives us playable Octolings, and it's easily the hardest single player content Splatoon has to offer.

There are some hints and teases in the vanilla content, plus some updates introduced even more. Also the official twitter and tumblr like to tease their relationship too.
None of it is overt but there is quite A LOT of evidence so... yeah, it's pretty gay.

Octo Expansion can be frustrating if you go and try to 100% it and then try the secret boss.
It was worth it for the Pearl x Marina though. (You do not need to 100% the expansion to get the good stuff.)

I also really like that they give you the option to skip levels in the expansion if you get stuck, so you're not locked out of all the cool stuff if you suck like me.

Well, you miss out on one cool thing, but the reward for beating said cool thing isn't really worth it outside of bragging rights.
