I assume it's all insecurity. Their ship is weak, so they are compelled to keep pushing it, lest even one person go "y'know, this other ship is pretty good too". Once that happens, the whole house of cards comes crashing down.

Poison is honestly a plus for ecchi writers since now you can do all sorts of aphrodisiac/paralysis stuff too depending on how the author spins it.

I'll stop commenting about IzuCha on Tsuyu x Ochako (again, sorry for that), but this ship has the same problem I have with Izuku x Tsuyu: lack of interaction. I know that has never stopped people from shipping couples, especially Yaoi and Yuri, but I still find it weird that people would ship characters with no interaction. lol
But at least it's not the Katsuki x Ochako type of ship. People started shipping them after their battle in the Sports Festival just because Katsuki considered her enough of a treat to use all his strength against her even though he made it clear afterwards that he despises her almost as much as he does Izuku, if not just as much. I love Bakugou despite (or because) of his shittiness, but I hate how people ship him with any character no matter his actual relationship with them.
All in all, I don't get why Izuku x Tsuyu is more popular than Izuku x Ochako given they never interacted outside of the USJ arc and never showed any interest in each other besides Izuku finding Tsuyu's quirk impressive.

That's exactly my point, but for whatever reason it became super popular just because of their interactions during the USJ Arc (the one where Tomura and the Villain League appear for the first time), which really bothers me since they became more popular than Izuku x Ochako which has actual interaction between them and hints of romantic interest from both parties (more obvious from Ochako). Ochako x Tsuyu also only have their interactions in the training camp arc and they were even shorter. lol

And btw, I never said people can't like couples with little to no interaction, I'm probably guilty of that too (mainly with Idolmaster since my parameters to shipping a couple there are liking the fanarts xD). I just think it's weird nevertheless. lol

@juanelric I'm personally of the same opinion. Ochako's whole character is based around being in love with Deku, essentially, so shipping her with other people feels weird to me. I'm not sure why everyone's getting up in arms about your opinion, though.
You can have an opinion and express it without being militant about it--and it didn't seem like you were. But you guys telling someone to leave just for expressing an opinion...that's pretty excessive, IMO.
EDIT: Like, I get that this site is more yuri-focused, but just talking about preferring a het ship here and there should not be this big a deal, right?

I didn't mean it like that, so sorry if that's how it came across. I just decided I liked it more than other couples. I don't like shipping more than one couple with the same character, so that's what I mean with "decided". If I decide I like a couple with a chatacter more than one I already liked, I stop shipping the previous one.
Anyway, this went very overboard and I take all blame for it. I'm genuinely sorry.
