So, I just finished first season... And I gotta say, even though I started watching it to check the massively famous Diakko ship, I found out It's a really good show. Clever, funny and every character is so likeable. (Except Andrew. Fuck Andrew). But I must say I find the lack of Diakko moments rather painful... And I winced everytime there was a Akko/Andrew moment. They have no chemestry and felt so forced. And it looked like the show was going towards this dreadful couple.
I'm about to watch season 2. The show is great, but could you guys tell me, without spoilers, if it has more Diakko moments than the previous season, please?

Season 1 has barely to none at all yuri moments.
Season 2 on the other hand became a yuri FLOOD. Plus, season 2 is just really freaking good on it's own merits.

@Midnightgunner I'm not gonna spoil too much, in ss2 diana basically have some family issues and akko was there to encourage her, to me at least, that was a diakko moment, there is also a diakko moment in the last episode where they look into each other eyes and smile and diana was holding akko's hand, so yeah keep watching LWA

@Midnightgunner Its weird hearing about seasons - there was only one right? At least in Japan. Netflix just split up the season for some reason. (My Japanese releases run 1-25).
I didn't hate Andrew as much as you though I wish he was in it a bit less. By the end though it almost seemed like they saw each other as 'one of the boys' as it were - he didn't seem much beyond a bit fond of her - and she never seemed to think anything romantic at all. If I remember the Director was clear Akko would not get a boyfriend, and was actually a fan of Diakko but was not allowed to go as far as he would of liked. That could change if they do any more and it still is popular with the fans I guess?
By FAR the most and best Diakko stuff is in 'S2' - though ofcourse nothing overtly yuri - but they become pretty close and there are quite a few big bits about them both - and being there for each other and relying on each other etc.
You will at the very least understand why the ship grew so large so easily.
And you are right, it is a great anime even setting aside any yuri. Also, Trigger always do good animation!

@S. Miki Little Witch Academia started as a 30 minute movie in 2013, then got a 45 minute sequel in 2015. The TV series is a reboot of them. They're both in Netflix like the TV series, btw.

@Wanderer I can't speak for others, but the reason why I don't like Andrew-boy is because he came out of nowhere like the boss decided there was a necessity for a sudden male love interest:
Boss: "LWA has everything. Good plot, comedy, animation and characters. But you know what it lacks? Romance!"
Staff: "I agree, sir. We should totally go for Diakko. They have chemestry and people love the "rivals to lovers" thin-"
Boss: "We should throw a random boy in it."
Staff: "What? But sir. Diakko already has a rather good acceptance with the public and there's an yuri boom recent-"
