Look at it this way. She can only be a Avenger or Lancer. Unlike Seiba that has:

I can understand using one name for all the variations of a character, but you should use their actual name if you're going to do that

Is it because Quetz is interpreted as a "beautiful" god he keeps being portrayed as female in some media? Not angry just curious Kobayashi-san chi no maid dragon did this too, which is weird because most of the stuff that is canon in the manga and anime is fairly accurate to the actual mythos that the dragons are from

Nah it is actually because FGO decided guys are boring and genderbendered like 50% of famous mythical and historical characters. Original Fate only did it with Arthur and other games were trying to keep it low, but FGO just didn't give a fuck, cos waifus to spend money on. Also other games tried to keep pretext it could make sense like Arthur was girl crossdressing, Nero didn't give a fuck to her gender and dressed whatever and Drake was too mainly to be called a girl by her crew. FGO just didn't bother to do that and genderbendered everyone.

@Nevri It should also be noted that it's implied that Francis Drake is actually Queen Elizabeth, that her and the real Francis Drake switched places.

Actually it seems that Fate/Extra only implied it by saying a fictional story like that exists in-universe, but doesn't actually confirms they indeed switched places. Fate/Grand Order decided to ignore it and outright said she was a woman.
