I get the feeling that the quote is in reference to the "Eden" logo, which is an apple with two bites taken out of it. It is meant as branding for the logo, and is not in reference to the picture.
Or it could mean that once you've been down on the muffin, you can't go back to het.

I don't see why people think the quote makes no sense. The line from Genesis refers to the literal "forbidden fruit", which if you eat it means you are not innocent any more (i.e., you now know good and evil where you didn't before).
This is directly analogous to lesbian sex being forbidden, so when you "eat" (already a common euphamism for sex) a girl, literally in this case, you're no longer innocent. Or that is, no longer someone who doesn't know how good lesbian sex is, and as Vankomycin put it, "you can't go back to het".
The apples that appear in the image, especially the apple on the bed, bitten on the same side that one girl is "eating" her lover, visually reinforces this.

Like why did god make that fruit if not for them to eat? There was only them and God - and he didn't need it. Also - why would it be a terrible sin to gain knowledge of good and evil - most would say knowing that would be good! - God wanted humans to have no knowledge of what was good or bad? And before they ate it - how can they be held responsible for ANY crime? They have no way to know right from wrong!
That's some of the bits that make no sense lol.

^elevown if i'm not mistaken it was Genesis 2:16–17 where it is explained everything about the story of the forbidden fruit. I'm not religious or anything i was bored so I read it. As most people say God has its way Nezchan gave a really good explanation about the picture itself. The reason why god didn't want humans to have knowledge about EVERYTHING that's good and bad is because they would reach the level of god. That's why in genesis once the two eat the forbidden fruit they are punished and banished from the garden of eden. For short god is a selfish bitch who didn't want his power as a deity taken .Done. It's not a sin gaining knowledge lesbian sex is considered a sin and that's the thing here. Though it really depends on how you see it Knowledge of good and evil and knowledge of the god's spoken as there's proverb 1:29 ''For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD''. As you can see god is a simple proud thot.

One of my favourite quotes is by Twain- “I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.”

It is a sin to disobey God. Adam, Eve, and the serpent were punished for disobeying God. The only moral principle that matters here is that God's word is absolute so it is actually irrelevant why God forbade Adam to eat from the Tree of Knowledge or whether Adam could know beforehand that doing so was wrong.
I'm really not a fan of this creation myth. it would be sooo much better if instead of Adam it was Ada and Eve and instead of a vengeful God it was a kind forgiving Goddess instead lol.

^ I don 't agree that what they did would class as sin by any reasonable standard. For the same reason as a baby or rabbit could not sin - even if we go by divine command theory (which sucks). It's like if god said it was a sin to harm the holy flowers, and a rock fell off a cliff and crushed them, the rock did not sin. Sin requires intent. Even if god told them not to and said it was a sin - if they don't know right from wrong, then doing what god told them to do or not do have equal moral value. God can say it's a sin if he likes but it would make him an idiot.

Not to mention, according to that legend a third party (who would also be a creation of the same God who made them) told Eve it would be fine. So in her innocent/naive state, how is she expected to understand that it's a bad idea at all?
Of course the whole story wasn't about what reasonable people (or a reasonable god) would do. It was, like the Japanese Inugazi/Isunami story, a "just so" story of how the whole birth/death cycle got going, with a few additional lessons like why we're not immortal, why women suffer during childbirth, why you should defer to priests as god's stand-ins, etc.
