Images like this one are really captivating... I guess it is the combination of enemies, death, and love. For some reason, I like to interpret the look of surprise there as a sign she had no idea about Nobunaga's feelings, somehow that leaves a much more tragic taste.

I can imagine Demon Archer did something terrible so she purposely orchastrates a "death by cop" (thanks tv tropes!) and impaled herself on Saber's sword so they could have one final private moment together.

Just for reference, both of these characters were originally made for an April Fools' one-off joke called "The Imperial Capital Holy Grail Strange Story", which was in an issue of the Koha-Ace magazine a few years ago. I don't know the full details, but the two of them were enemies there, which is where the violence is from.

Could be a real good story to go along with an image like this. Could easily be a bad one too but I do like these two a lot so my bias might be creeping in. Nice art in either case.
