Bauxite is aluminium ore which is difficult to ship. When introduced to enough moisture, a free flowing, but heavy slurry is formed. With enough of this slurry sloshing around along with the motion of a ship at sea, the vessel can become extremely unstable and potentially capsize. This process caused the sinking of a cargo ship called the Bulk Jupiter.
