Is this series any good? I've heard about it and vaguely know the premise, but I'm not entirely sure if it has any kind of substantial yuri in it.

It's funny, I watched Kuzu no Honkai and enjoyed it, I read this and freaking hated it. They're both overdramatized melodramas, but I thought that the characters' actions in KnH actually made sense when compared to... this trash. Also, the lesbian in KnH isn't a dense idiot; she is kind of a manipulative asshole for a few episodes, but at least she doesn't end up with a dude at the end, I suppose. I have to say, I think she's one of the best portrayals of a gay character I've ever seen in an anime even if she doesn't get the girl. I mean, it's not very hard to beat comedies like Sakura Trick and YuruYuri... I love them and all, but, sometimes, I prefer realism to humor. There are certainly better portrayals in manga, but they, alas, have not yet been adapted into anime (THE BLOOM INTO YOU ANIME IS GONNA HAPPEN, IT'S GONNA HAPPEN).

Minutoh I wish the bloom into you anime does happen and it is good but for now you have the citrus anime to look forward to. Although citrus isnt full of a lot of yuri and is still over dramatized I think its pretty similar in quantity to bloom into you except things get moving a lot faster and slow down later instead of how its happening in bloom into you. Still I like Netsuzuo trap just cause it seems like it will very soon stop with the overly dense shit and actually start some actual fucking(hopefully) and this art is based on the art from the TV series(correct me if im wrong or if its just namori's style) not the much better looking and way more sexy manga. Im seriously disappointing that they took a trashy manga with really good art and replaced the art with crappy shit the even the early 2000s anime would call ugly.

Yeah, I was always reluctant to read Citrus 'cause I heard it was overdramatized, but if watching KnH has taught me anything, it's that I'm perfectly okay with that. I'm just gonna wait for the anime though, hopefully it comes out soon.
And, yeah, I didn't really like NTR, but I do have to admit that the art is amazing. Kodama Naoko's manga all have some pretty good art... if only they had plotlines as good...
Edit: Also, I think this art is more Namori's style than the style used in the anime. Well, I've only seen a few screenshots of the anime, so I may be wrong, but, yeah, this reminds me of YuruYuri and her other stuff.

Citrus has gotten a lot better now that Yuzu and Mei are in a committed relationship. Mei's behavior is still a little frustrating but the stupid stuff like Matsuri's relationship sabotage and Mei agreeing to date that other girl are thankfully over.

That's good to hear. I'm actually kind of interested in reading this whole "relationship sabotage" and "Mei agreeing to date that other girl" thing even if you say it's pretty dumb... and, of course, it's nice that it's a lot better now. I'm still waiting for the anime though since I usually prefer watching anime to reading manga, so I'll definitely watch it as soon as it comes out.
As for the NTR adaptation... so, they pretty much took a shitty manga and took out the few good parts, huh? Wow, okay then...
(Huge spoilers for Kuzu no Honkai ahead).
I certainly would have liked it if Hanabi and Ebato ended up dating, but, to me, at least, it doesn't really make sense when taking into consideration their relationship. They were both pretty much using each other: Ebato saw that Hanabi was in a miserable state so she used that opportunity to have sex with her, and Hanabi just wanted some good ol' comfort sex or whatever. She later felt guilty since she knew that Ebato's feelings for her were real while her feelings for Ebato were not romantic at all, so she tried to call it off, but Ebato was too possessive to let her go... until she did let her go like 2 episodes later. I liked Scum's Wish and all, but, yeah, the characters act kind of strangely sometimes... I suppose it's not too unreasonable though that she took the time to think about it a bit and decided that she didn't want to go out with someone who had no feelings for her in return. And then she did that cutting her hair thing at the end, signfiying that she had finally let go of Hanabi once and for all, which led to their renewed friendship. Nothing in the series really indicated to me that Hanabi really loved Ebato in a romantic way, and the whole reason she broke up with her at all is because she respected her feelings and knew they were legitimate... so, yeah, that's why it didn't really bother me as much as it does in most other cases.

The kicker is that Yuma's boyfriend is the most likable and decent human being in the whole goddamn story. FYI, don't make me root for a dude in a story that's supposed to be about Yuri. (This is the fate Kanzaki no Miko suffers as well)

So much anime discussion in a single picture, I love it. Gonna throw in my unsolicited opinions too. The art is adorable, they look younger here and it’s just cute.
NTR is okay, not great, but not terrible either. Never really understood why people continually bash Kodama Naoko, maybe they’re that strongly against cheating? I would’ve fully liked NTR if there was more character and relationship development (between Yuma and Hotaru).
I was satisfied with the ending of Kuzu no Honkai (because I detest Mugi), but would’ve preferred Hanabi and Sanae together. Sanae legitimately had feelings for Hanabi, though she went about it the wrong way. Hell, the series itself went about yuri the wrong way. It felt like the yuri route was never even an option. Instead of Hanabi and Sanae actually trying to see if they can be compatible lovers with mutual feelings, Sanae is all “I love you, you don’t love me. We can’t ever be together so just use me for sex” uhhh ok.
Citrus is everything and Mei is my goddess, that is all.
Lastly, I’d argue that Yuma’s boyfriend and Himeko’s wannabe boyfriend aren’t very decent human beings because they’re consumed by selfish desires and don’t really consider their bae’s feelings. Like, who the hell gets severely butthurt because someone doesn’t want to have sex with you?
