So far the fanarts of these two I've seen are all well drawn. And this is the best pairing in GuP imo and they never even interacted once during the series or the movie. Sighs
But they were implied to interact. Like, when they watched the last stage of the battle in the movie, they were literally at something like 50cm distance. Hard to believe they did not speak to each other, especially since Darjeeling seems so into inter-school communication, and Kay is so outgoing and friendly, and all. They probably know each other, at least as the usual top Sensha-do competitors and rivals. But yeah, would be great to actually see them interact. One of the best pairings~

In ep 6, Darjeeling is shown to be impressed/amused by Kay's fair play (when Kay decided to leave their tanks behind to fight Oorai on equal grounds). Regardless, of what she thinks about Saunders "Doctrine of superior fire power" strategy, I think she likes Kay as a person/commander (since we know Darjeeling isn't easily impressed but she was giggling at Kay's antics to turn the competion into a "game of tag"). Hell even Miho was starry eyed towards Kay.
I think it's impossible that Darjeeling and Kay never interacted but yeah it'll be awesome to see them working together on screen.
Yeah, plus, since in the movie they were on the same team, and were in command positions, they had to interact. In fact, there is a clear indicator in the movie they have lines of communication, since it was Darjeeling who came up with, and organised, all the other schools to come to Ooarai's rescue. In fact, Saunders was the very first school she and Pekoe contacted, via wireless telegraph (despite being in a universe that has mobile phones...), they even conspiratorially called it a "tea party". To be honest, it is highly probable all the school leaders of these top teams interact with each other, with the possible exception of the Finnish school, they seem to keep to themselves.
Looking forward to the movie series, considering how some of these pairings got popular, I wonder if we will see some winks in this regard. If yes, Darjeeling/Kay is practically guaranteed.
