There's something infinitely amusing about how long this pairing name is.

Also, this is some good shit right here.

^^ I agree. Just saying it makes me giggle. And it flows surprisingly well!

While we're on the subject, how are you supposed to pronounce the "x" in a pairing name?

^Fair to assume, but then there was the game "Street Fighter X Tekken" which was pronounced
"Street fighter CROSS Tekken," and apparently gay male fanfiction is sometimes called "SLASH fiction." Where does the "x" come from anyway?

Here's the general idea:

Girl x girl = heaven

At least that's my impression of it.

Isn't an X generally treated like a non-pronouncable character, at least in Japan? Like with "Hunter X Hunter" or "XXXholic" which are actually read as "Hunter Hunter" or "holic" respectively.

So in this case Black-tailed Prairie Dog x North American Beaver would just be " Black-tailed Prairie Dog; North American Beaver" or maybe " Black-tailed Prairie Dog and North American Beaver" (treating it as a simplified ampersand) if you prefer.

a wild theory, isn't x a romantic symbol for kiss (chu)? in the pairing business wouldn't it read as Black-tailed Prairie Dog (chu) North American Beaver. at least i'm gonna read it that way since it's cute :3

I say it as slash.

In spanish the x is pronounced "por" because the x is the multiply symbol and it's called like that so I expected it to be pronounced like whatever the multiply symbol is pronounced in english xD

And well, that's not always true in japanese, because we have the example of Hayate x Blade which is read like Hayate cross blade.
