She's not asexual, nor is she aromantic. She's an anti-social nerd who doesn't (or didn't, depending on where you are in the story) understand how relationships with other people work. The only relationship that she's really had was her friendship with Takiya. She's likely never had romantic feelings for anyone before in the first place, or, at least, never noticed them. Tohru is the first person that she's likely ever had any romantic feelings for, and she doesn't really know how to deal with those feelings.
